“I discovered Tom's Outdoors a couple of years back when I was trying to replace a much-loved pair of Patagonia tropical fishing pants - light weight, easy washing and without all the zips and pockets and extras that come with these pesky detachable leggings and finally found them here. Then I found some more intuitive, well-chosen fishing gear that happens to suit my taste. The service and delivery is best-in-class in Australia - and I love a local business run by smart young folk who do the stuff I am doing.”

I bought a Helinox bed online and it arrived at my house in regional south east Queensland within a few days and at reasonable cost. “The Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket is a great inclusion in to any bike packers kit. I use this jacket combined with a half sleeping bag system from Terrarosa Gear for a comfortable nights sleep down to 0deg C. Being made with hydrophobic material and the prima loft insulation means it can get wet in the early morning and still provide warmth. It also doubles as a comfortable riding jacket on cold mornings working well to keep out cold wind. The jacket packs down in to a pocket and compacts down well. I highly recommend the Patagonia Nano Puff - now having two of them to be included on every bike packers packing list.”
