“The color was a perfect match. The clear coat was miserable. It was blotchy.”

“I was patching a small hole smaller than a dime. I went to look and find what product would be best. The pen was advertised for spots the size of a pencil eraser. So I went with the .34 oz bottles. I purchased the primer, color, and clear coat set. The color was very close to that of my car (just slightly darker). However, the application of the paint is with a nail polish brush. This resulted in my application having tons of bumps and ridges. I sanded in between coats and then the final coat. After a lot of work it was very smooth (one or two very tiny air bubble spots). The next issue came when I applied the clear coat. Using the brush for clear coat then smeared the (dried for over 1 hour) base color coat. So the ridges I worked so hard to smooth out we’re right back. I was very disappointed with how this turned out. After working on this, not even, dime size spot for many hours, I am finally giving up. I would suggest others to not use the brush and try either the pen or the spray can.”

“I order the complete kit plus two additional cans of spray paint. The color was perfect but, frankly, the spray paint and clear coat finish did not produce a great finish. It was a learning experience for me; one that I will not repeat with this product.”

“Delivery was fast and color was accurate but the paint was runny and didn't coat nearly as well as competitors. I wasted a lot of time undoing the damage and ordered real (cancer causing high VOC) paint from a competitor which looks fantastic.”

“Product is expensive. I picked Touch up direct as it was the only supplier that had the actual name of my cars color (sahara sunset) not metallic gold as all others. I followed instructions to the letter, but the match to my cars finish is not acceptable. The directions said that undercoat is not required, but maybe that not true.”

“Never received my package. FED EX damaged it during shipping. Its been around 4 weeks and I still haven't heard back from Touch Up Direct to see if I wiil be getting another shipped out or a refund. Thank you. Your customer Miguel Trujillo.”

“Primer and color matching paint worked well. Then came the empty bottle of clear coat work only a glass bead inside to mix up the non existent clear coat. Not ideal.”

“Touch up indicated that there were only 2 dash colours for my '99 F series truck so I chose the darker of the two. Nope, too light. I need to pursue the correct colour :(”

“The pens did not work well for what they were intended for. Chips were less than a fingernail, so I picked this kit. I applied multiple costs of the base coat, and it looks worse than when I started. A kit with a brush would have been a better option.”

“I used the paint on the paper first to check for a match as instructed. It looked like a perfect match. And then I used it on the truck and it looks bad!!! I think I’ll go in another direction next time.”

“Paint was more water (this or oil) based than I thought it would be. The pen was meant for extremely small scratches and did not work on the bigger scratches. Will only go with small brush touch up kits from now on”
