“Paid extra for check in (12) arrived at 1.30, room wasn't ready. My husband had to sit in his wheelchair in reception. Assistant insisted it's between 12& 2. Room carpet absolutely filthy, had to report bedding, blood marks, clearly visible on top cover, granted they changed it immediately. However, should have noticed this. Hall entrance dirty, rubbish. Won't be staying again. Lytham St Anne's is beautiful. TRAVELODGE YOU REALLY SHOULD CLEAN UP YOUR ACT. IT COULD BE SO MUCH NICER THIS BRANCH.”

“I have been booking rooms at both Cardiff & Swansea for the last 10-15 years and this could be anything from 1 room up to 4 rooms but very disappointed that you do not use any discount / loyalty scheme as I have spent a small fortune with Travelodge.”

“Booking would not accept my company credit card. Maybe due to not linking with billing address. Have had to use my own which is annoying”

“We were in a room next to two dogs and lots of children who ran up and down the corridor all evening with the dogs. We mentioned it the next morning to reception who said they would send us a voucher as compensation but we didn't receive anything. Apart from the issues mentioned the hotel is in a lovely location by the lake.”

“The Travelodge in Walton on Thames needs a makeover, such potential but wasted. Carpets are stained and worn, sink was loose, curtains didn’t fit, Very noisy neighbours on Sunday night, nobody on the desk Monday morning, couldn’t collect one of my breakfast box’s as there was nobody around. Such a shame.”

“Place was nice and tidy bed was comfy the only thing i was using the half used toilet roll there was pooh marks inside the roll so suggest you change all rolls once someone else booked a room it was quite disgusting”

“This review is for the booking system via the app. You enter a destination then date and enter takes you to a new page which asks for destination again, annoying. When I found the hotel and dates the page refused to navigate any further. I eventually made the booking on their Web page. Travelodge you need to tweet your app to make it easier.”

“i checked in at 930 sunday evening and when arriving in my room i instantly noticed that the previious guests used duvet had not been removed ! it was a warm night so i didmt see the need to bother reception but as a frquent guest of travelodge i do think it lacks care and attenion to detail regards Andy”

“I looked at this property before but was unable to book as my father just died and I was unsure of funeral dates. I then booked last night to find out that the price had gone up to £87, you used to be really good value but instead you keep putting your prices up although when checking you are not full”

“We paid for a super room which wasn't really worth the extra money as we were only staying one night. The staff member in reception was reluctant to get extra coffee or milk as she appeared to be busy on her phone. We had a meal in the restaurant ( the second and last time we will ever buy food from a Travelodge restaurant) it was very poor and the bar had very little choice of drinks, from an extensive soft drinks menu, there was only one drink available. All in all, we will continue to use Travelodge hotels as they are convenient when we are traveling on the motorways but won't use the restaurants again.”

“Room was nice, clean. We had upgraded for better WiFi, coffee pod drink maker, sadly after we returned from our evening/night out we found there to be no WiFi, no working lights in the room, it was late so didn't complain, we were beyond tired. Bed was comfortable.”

“Tried to activate an E voucher at time of booking but wouldn't activate so had to phone a premium number. Was told voucher would be applied at check out automatically.....who knew ....so why ask me for voucher number. Why is your phone not toll free.”
