“BA cancelled 1000's of flights for the summer. This must have created a crazy work load for Travelup. I imagine the margins are very tight, and BA's unilateral action would have blown those to hell.
So I call Travelup to sort out the reticketing. 60 people in the queue. Estimated wait time 51 minutes. But the queue moves much faster. Travelup instead of blaming "unprecedent demand", must have thrown additional staff at it. I am speaking to a human within 10-12m. The advisors name is Muhammad Ibrahim. He must have been having a tricky day. Very polite and professional. Within another 10m, he tells me what I need to do, and about 12 hours later I (and the whole family) are all reticketed on alternative flights.
While a bit of a crisis, and far from ideal, I think Travelup did an excellent job in managing a crisis foisted on them by BA and Heathrow.”
