“Of course, it's a useful service, but once you're in among the weeds, questions begin to be raised. Most recently, I added a review about an online seller. I explained why I didn't buy from them after I reached the checkout because what was advertised as a FREE DELIVERY service was in fact anything but. Rather than responding to my review the seller complained to Trustpilot and had my review removed. The reasoning given by Trustpilot was I hadn't actually had "a customer experience". This seems like a nonsense to me. I never claimed to have bought anything. In fact the whole point of my review was to explain why I my limited "customer experience" led me to choose not to buy. Trustpilot's stance is that you need to be willing to enter knowingly into a bad "customer experience" before you earn the right to alert others to it on their website: take a bullet or move over. For me it raises the question of what other collusion exists between sellers and Trustpilot. This experience significantly impacts on the credibility of the website for me. At some stage it will stretch beyond breaking point.”

“We posted a negative review of a business, gave them two out of five stars. The business complained and claimed we had never done any business with them, our statements were false. Trustpilot placed our review under "review", and requested invoice numbers for our payments to the business we reviewed. Trustpilot pretend to be some sort of a Global Supreme Court of business evaluation. Don't touch these guys business not even with a 20 ft pole.”

“I needed Trustpilot solely because of the seller ratings for Adwords and asked them about it. They told me, that I only need 100 ratings a year and cashed a lot of money from me. Only later I found out that they exclude organic reviews from this number and I need 100 per country....additionally their integrations are not AMP ready and thus useless for my page. Their website has a lot of errors especially in their reports which are often not loading at all. Obviously spammy reviews were not deleted. I requested a refund due to the issues above as I cannot use it at all except for the ratings, which are free anyways.... They refused. They tricked me and then offered nothing I needed even though I specified exactly what I wanted from the upgrade. Absolute liars.”

“I‘ve used Trustpilot quite a few times in the past, trusting they would give me a good idea with their rating about how trustworthy a company is. However, I‘ve seen that their reviews can not really be trusted. Go to their site and search for i-account. I-account is a banking platform which is downright fraudulent. Looking through the reviews from i-account on Trustpilot, you will find that without exception they are given one star only. Most comments inform you that this company is a fraud, steals money from their clients, and that one star really is too much for them, but unfortunately the minimum you can give on Trustpilot. Yet despite 100% bad reviews, Trustpilot rates i-account with 2 stars and an overall rating of 3,5 out of 10. An extremely questionable rating in my opinion. So better be careful next time you trust a Trustpilot rating.”

“Silkfred (Tamsin) replied on my review.I am a good customer of this company,but getting in touch with this company is a pain in the neck.I am wating for two refunds (order 4067098 and order 4093209.A total of 99 pounds)Still no help for the 15% code reduction on order 4186503.I am very disappointed and think twice in the future !!!”

“I recently joined a website called 'Secret Benefits', a dating site. When I complained on Trustpilot that many of the profiles on this dating site were fake, Secret Benefits objected to my review and asked for confirmation that I was a member. I provided this confirmation to Trustpilot, who promptly deleted my review!! Secret Benefits pursue an active policy of protesting against negative reviews. Trustpilot should protect consumer rights to state their opinion. They have failed to do so in this case.”

“Losses are a huge part of living. What matters is what we do afterwards, the actions we take will either move us forward or hold us back. “I really would like to use a service like this but it's not working very well. TP claims that they can't be sure that I am sending all of my patients to them so they shaved a star off my rating yet they don't offer a way to mediate that issue. The code they provide hasn't worked on my website. My patients have complained that they would like to leave me a review but TP wants too much of their private information and a promise to keep rating businesses--too intrusive. It's a great idea with flawed implementation.”

“I was SCAMMED for 9BTC by optionsrefund and I needed help... I lost all my bitcoin to them I can't believe how stupid I was.It happened quickly I was not thinking clearly...I posted about it on Trustpilot and they removed it within 6 hours I was hoping to get help from people who can advise how to get my money back, that was my plan but recently I became desperate so I started looking for fast solution. Few people told me that is not possible to get my btc back, but I heard there are people that can do it by using different techniques. I left Trustpilot answers and started googling for different kind of opportunities, several hours later I received an email from unknown person *(viapreferred@gmail.com)* and he told me he can help me get my btc back in no time on the same day. He said his name was Parker we talked for almost 30 minutes, he asked how much bitcoin I have lost, he seemed normal and I had a good feeling about him and this whole thing and then I decided to take a small risk and I sent him 0,8btc I thought losing 0.8 will not hurt me much because I have 9+ and a good job so I would keep on living at that point I thought there is 50/50 chances for him to get my bitcoin and after I sent btc he used it for what he wanted to use it for which I don't know till today and he sent btc back to me then he said "don't worry you will see that I am honest guy, if I wasn't you would never heard from me again" I thought the same so this gave me some sense of security. twenty minutes later I saw another new transaction on blockchain.com it was for 2btc and he emailed me saying "See, I am a man of my word ;)" then confirmations started happening and I got 4 bitcoin and I knew he was legit I was super excited I couldn't sleep all night he left did not reply my emails.then tomorrow he contacted me again saying he had to leave to do a huge deal he had to double 100 btc for an investor from Dubai You must be thinking that I am stupid idiot, but believe me when I say I am not stupid at all these people are very dangerous, they control your mind and when you "wake up" old you is back saying what have I done! Several people already contacted me claiming they were scammed by this same person the exact same way and lost all their btc. So if you have been thinking and asking yourself if there's a way to retrieve lost btc "What do I do now please help!?" was my cry until I saw Parker's contact he traced and helped me to recover my funds and I will be forever thankful to him. I promised to testify to his great work and good heart on every medium I have opportunity cause I don't know what my life would be right now without getting my funds back”

“Disclaimer : I am now a reviews.co.uk customer, but I was with Trustpilot for two years until June this year so feel that I am qualified to leave them a review on the experience. I run a small business processing high value transactions, so didn't have a lot of reviews to publish and stayed on their basic scheme. It was fine, not bad, but not great either and quite regularly review requests would end up in recipients junk folders. We did everything they told us to address this, so my web guys were mystified. In the end, I started questioning why I was spending so much on their service. Coincidentally they then started chasing me down to renew (after they had failed to invoice for my service and moved me to the free plan - cancelling all linked widgets on my site and email signature) and it came to a head with the sales rep calling me in a meeting, and then cancelling everything when I said I couldn't talk to her then! Unbelievable. So by all means use them for the free plan if you are a small business, but go elsewhere when you want better service and more options.”

“Biased in favour of businesses who play the control card in preference to democratic freedoms. Trust pilot seem to be controlled by the business factor on here. Take far too long to investigate unjustified complaints, if they ever do. very poor”

“I do use Trustpilot quite often, but have noticed that a lot of people seem to use the platform to scream abuse at companies they have a grievance with. Most of the time the grievance is simply that things did not go exactly as planned and they can't handle real life! I take the reviews on Trustpilot with a pinch of salt, I really just check it out as part of research when using a new company, so I know what sort of issues crop up a lot. I have never been asked by a company to leave a trustpilot review, I set my profile up myself and am very honest in my reviews.”

“I was asked to rate Goggles4u.com I looked at the rating levels and wording. Terrible. One of the worst rating systems I have ever seen. Why anyone would use you as a rating/reviewing source is beyond me. I am in NO WAY affiliated with any company. I am a consumer.”

“I have been mistaken for a another company and negative reviews have been posted. Trustpilot will not take down the review, will not accept any evidence from me that the review is wrong, and will not take steps to ensure that the reviewers are genuine. On their scoring system i would vote them on a minus score.”
