I do agree with the person below as left a genuine bad review for one of the law firm and submitted all the evidence and they kept bringing up anecdotal excuses for not being able to publish it. Totally surprised about it and how bad they are. It seems like it is a platform where people are only allowed to post positive reviews on trustpilot as this keeps them in business with their clients.

A fraudulent 3rd party review platform. Left a genuine review follow a bad experience I had with an online store. 4 times in one year trust pilot emailed to say unless I could provide evidence of being a customer of said online shop my review would be removed. I provided this of course on the first time and the second. On the third time around I made the point this has already been provided twice and that they should reference their records. Upon hearing from them again for a fourth time I had completely lost hope and did not respond. A couple of weeks later my review had been removed. As a customer I should not have to go to such effort to keep a legitimate review online. I would never use or trust anything about trust pilot again. The whole system is rigged for the retailers not at all for the customers. Untrustworthy more like.

Put simply Trustpilot is not, in my opinion a platform where people can go to expecting to read about other people's experiences with a business or site. For almost 1 year now I have been writing reviews of a scammer who has multiple websites (treated by Trustpilot as individual businesses) and who on a monthly basis creates new websites with the same scam. Most, not all, but most are removed and in the next few months I receive the exact same copy paste emails from Trustpilot which lack any indication that they have read, understood or even care about the actual review. In my opinion Trustpilot deletes honest reviews written by real people of scam businesses. One can only speculate (ie. not proven) that they either cannot monetize these sites being reviewed to paying customers so they delete them or the scammer is already paying Trustpilot as a customer. The final nail in the coffin proving Trustpilots attitude to my over 43 reviews written is in the attached email. ".....Trustpilot is an online review community that allows people to share their experiences with different companies. If you believe those companies are fraudulent or for any serious cases, consider reporting the incident to the police, or contacting a local consumer protection organization. Consumer bodies can advise on consumer rights." In other words Trustpilot actively choose to delete your reviews and suggest you contact someone else instead.

They removed a genuine review of Evri, I think they must be paid to remove reviews if they are not positive when completely genuine.

They blocked my account for writing a negative review about a crypto exchange that actually became an exit scam. Avoid this site, it's not trustworthy anymore.

Removing genuine reviews, not replying WHY. Don't get into that trap. One would not believe that this is possible in 2022. SCAM / FAKE.

Suspended my account and deleted all my reviews saying they are fabricated. Most companies pay for positive reviews or even pay for them. All my reviews are from experience or research.

More like Scampilot, they locked my account for an absolutely unknown reason, I asked them to explain why after 6 years suddenly I can't log in, and they said don't know exactly why, it was just the system detected something wrong, I asked to specify and they said they can't. What a lame service. The crazier is that I asked to delete my private data if I can't log in anymore, and they said you must do it myself by login in via settings and deleting my private data. While they locked my account so I can't log in. What the hell, I can't express how a garbage site is Trustpilot, they don't even comply with GDPR. I'm not surprised of other people are experiencing similar frustrations. What is even more ridiculous I made a formal complaint to them about that after I asked to delete my private data because I can't login they replied "you can delete your private data by login into your account". They don't even read what I just explained that I can't login because they terminated account without even explaining why. Lamest service in the world.

Trustpilot send personal data to the reviewed party. Not a trustworthy party.

Trust Pilot will allow anyone to write a false review which is not based on fact or actual events. By publishing fake negative reviews they themselves are complicit in that activity and therefore condone spurious reviews. The system could be so much easier if they had some way of verifying a customer's experience (they do - by asking for an invoice number). The issue with this is ANYONE can add your business to their site and the onus is on YOU to 'claim' it. By then the review has been live and Trustpilot will not remove it. Sham.

Had reviews removed multiple times. I'm telling my honest experience, but they do as they please. They asked for verification, I sent them the order details, emails, etc. Still decided to remove because they hate negative reviews. Just a sh*tshow overall. Think about this, who pays them? you or the companies? lol Go elsewhere for now (including here), but with the web3 decentralisation there won't be a place for these guys anyway.

Trustpilot keep blocking my reviews (whenever I write something negative), even though my account is verified (they know I'm a real person). I've sent in my final complaint and have now deleted my account.

Appalling fake reviews, dreadful support and extremely expensive. Use reviews.io instead as it'll work better for your business.

This company is such a fraudulent scam. When I see a businesses that list their Trustpilot rating, I know the company themselves are deceptive. I posted a negative review for a business that was actively censoring and cancelling user subscriptions for criticising a new change they made. Of course Trustpilot deleted my review and said it was a fake review. I sent proof of purchase and confirmed I was a legitimate buyer and they said they still couldn't approve the review. Undoubtedly, the company that I gave the review to was paying Trustpilot to remove the review. Trustpilot can't be trusted and that's the reality of it.

Trustpilot is the most non trustworthy 3rd party review site I have used. Never again. They will keep your reviews hidden within a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo. They have a team of lawyers inhouse to handle this. A sketchy way of trying to hold you hostage to them. I can not recommend trustpilot to anyone.

Hi Can you explain why the list of reviews is set at default in terms of 'most relevant' reviews rather than 'most recent'? From what I can see, 1* reviews are being quickly buried under 5* reviews due to this automatic default but only with companies that pay for your service. Who decides what is 'most relevant'? Please can you explain who decides what is most relevant? Surely, it should be 'most recent' reviews? I believe it used to be.
