“I've been a tutor with an active profile on this website since 2016. The work you'll get here is mostly part-time or a hobby, unless you teach core subjects for higher levels which are paid well and have a high demand. I've been quite lucky to get enough hours and very good clients to build up a stable schedule and focus on this only for most time. Having many positive reviews is the most important aspect of the online profile. While there is a commission the website takes from your price, I'd still recommend to keep all bookings through the website as this will ensure you have a steady stream of new clients, a good amount of work. I'm saying this because I've seen many tutors avoiding websites or agencies and then being left without any lessons or new clients after a few months If you like tutoring, you'll find that this is a chance to improve your tuition method and gain a lot of experience. Of course, this is not a career and most tutors have a day job, so it might not be the right choice for someone with a Mon-Fri work. That's because most tuition is done after 4 on weekdays and during weekends”

“Tutorfair has been my main source of attracting new clients over the past four yeafilers since I have been tutoring full-time. I find it brings plenty of quality opportunities when I want them, and I can easily hide my profile when I am fully booked. For me, however, the main benefit of Tutorfair is the fact that it manages most of my admin, so that I can focus on my students, not worrying about producing invoices or whether I have been paid.”

“Tutorfair has been the platform on which I tutor for the past year. From the tutor's perspective, Tutorfair makes it easy for new tutors to find their clients, which otherwise would be very difficult. It also has great customer service. Any issues that I have had they have helped me with, over email or over the phone. As well as they gave me very useful advice when I asked.”

“I have been a tutor for over ten years, using 5 different agencies. In the last few years Tutor Fair has provided me with most of my students. Their website is effective and easy to use. Another outstanding feature they provide is very quick responses to any questions.”

“An excellent platform which give you access to highly qualified tutors. The design of the platform allows for tutors to customise prices which means that as a parent, you can get a highly experienced tutor tutoring your child for a reasonable price. Your child can end up preparing their GCSEs with someone who teaches the subject at university for example or who even has experience as an examiner. On top of that, the charitable aspect is another reason Tutorfair is fair! I highly recommend it!”

“The best tutoring website I've used, whether for online or face-to-face. I've been able to connect with a wide range of students, with all kinds of different requirements, and the Tutorfair platform helps me to do this efficiently and professionally. The support team make a real effort to get to know you and are always great at responding quickly to any issues. Highly recommend, whether you're a tutor wanting new students, or a student looking for a qualified and verified tutor. I feel valued as a tutor and I like to think that my clients feel the same.”

“Having worked with the company for 5 years now, I can say they are a good company with an excellent staff. However they are reticent to implement new features for tutors and they have an agenda based upon their search results which endeavour to price fix the market. Furthermore it is not clear to tutors what proportions of their hourly rate goes to the charity or to the business. In terms of features for tutors it is one of the better platforms in that they do not attempt to gatekeep overly. Taking on short contracts however should be explicitly avoided on the platform lest the algorithm assume you are cheating the company of their rent and banish you to the third page of results! Overall I'd say they are the best agency I've worked with but that like saying you have a favourite estate agents.”

“Great platform for tutors to connect with potential students. There are some great features, such as booking lessons in advance and a 24-hour cancellation policy which protects tutors from wasting time; payments are always transferred on time. Tutorfair has an effctive support team and a website allows very easy communication between tutors and students.”
