“Charged me over $100.00 for a prescription that I did not order... Can't get a hold of anyone to help me. They only respond via email or text... I have gotten one email without resolution and my 3 texts have been completely ignored. Do not give them any bank or cc info to keep on file!!”
Hi there,
Thank you for sharing your experience. My name is Kelsey and I'm a member of our Escalations Department here at Twentyeight Health. I want to first truly apologize for this delayed response as we were unaware many of our customers were using this platform to share their experiences. We're committed to responding to all reviews, positive and negative, and thoughtfully considering feedback from our customers.
With this in mind, I'm so sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience with our service.
In 2023 we provided continuity of care for thousands of folks from SimpleHealth and The Pill Club when those companies wound down their operations. While not an excuse, this caused an unprecedented increase in volume and we completely acknowledge many of our customers experienced less than stellar service and response delays during this time. We've since taken steps to add additional associates to our Care Team and have adjusted many of our processes to ensure we're providing the highest level of prompt, efficient, and seamless support.
Your experience is definitely not up to our standards. I truly apologize for any frustration or disappointment and have reached out to you privately through Reviews.io in the hopes of ensuring your concern was fully resolved.
Sincerely,
Kelsey (she/her)
“The problems started with 28 Health the day they took over my account from SimpleHealth and have been ongoing. They lost my account, my orders would get "stuck" for various reasons, they had problems with this, or that, or were running behind due to high volume of orders....all the way to them just deleting my account because my insurance suddenly didn't cover them -- and I called my insurance co to opt out of a savings plan, they confirmed they would cover my prescription, and I told 28 to run it again but they are too stupid to understand this. Customer service is ridiculous. It's always "we're so sorry, we can help BUT"...and then a gleeful hawking of things I do not need. And I thought NURX was terrible.”

As you mentioned, in 2023 we provided continuity of care for thousands of folks from SimpleHealth and The Pill Club when those companies wound down their operations. “Terrible company. They are stealing your money, $25 per pack of birth control is RIDICULOUS. Especially when they don’t even send you your brand of birth control and sub it out for generic brands that “are the same”. If they are the same, then why do they give me a bad reaction? Why are my symptoms different? And they still charge you the full cost. I asked for a refund and they refused.”
Hi there,

With this in mind, I'm so sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience our service. It's our mission to provide affordable and convenient access to reproductive and sexual healthcare for underserved communities. Driven by this mission, we’ve done our best over the last 4+ years to absorb all of the rising costs without passing them on to you.
With that said, our pharmacy partners have increased medication prices several times in the last few years, and we’ve had to adjust our out-of-pocket pricing to continue to make sure we can serve you. Our lowest cost medications start at $18, which is comparable to many of our competitors. However, I truly apologize for any disappointment or frustration.
Regarding generics, our providers prescribe medically equivalent generics, meaning they have the same exact hormones and doses. Pharmacies are legally able (and in some states, required) to fill generic equivalents. However, if you're interested in receiving only a specific brand we can always accommodate this.
I’ve reached out to you privately through Reviews.io in the hopes of ensuring your concerns have been fully resolved since sharing this review!
Sincerely,
Kelsey (she/her)

“I was referred to Twentyeight Health after the Pill Club/Favor (which was so efficient and had great customer service) closed. Unfortunately, I have had nothing but a difficult experience with Twentyeight Health. My initial intake paperwork was sent to me in July and I immediately filled out all of the information. I was told my information was received and that I was supposed to get my medication from them at the end of August/start of September. On September 3rd (2 months later) I received an email letting me know that there was an error and they were missing information (however I had already input that same exact information). I immediately fixed it and the shipment date for my pills was set for September 8th. On September 13th I was sent two different and contradictory messages (one by email, one on my account) and new issues. I responded within a few hours asking for clarification about what the issue actually was and now 6 days later after contacting them 5 more times by email, messages, and text I have not heard anything and I have run out of medication. Unfortunately, they are one of the few places that accept Medicaid otherwise I would find a different provider immediately. I am sure that they are overwhelmed by the sudden influx of new patients but it seems that they need more customer service support in order to actually be able to serve their customers. Also, I was supposed to get the annual fee waived as a former Pill Club member but my credit card was charged $26 dollars anyway.”
“do not, i repeat, DO NOT sign up for this service. They bill your insurance without your consent sending things such as internal condoms (costing close to $300) even though you never opted for it as well as sending birth control that you usually do not take. customer service is unreachable responding at a rate of one message per 3-4 days and refuse to cancel or stop sending these items even though they have been bombarded with emails asking them to stop”
“It should be 0 stars. This company forgot to notify me to renew my prescription like they're supposed to, strung me along for weeks while I didn't have birth control, then cancelled my 1 year prescription after only 3 months. After that, things got bad. I was without birth control AGAIN and they started charging my bank account for the annual $26 fee (which I had just paid three months ago) multiple times a day. I had to cancel my card to get them to stop, because of course there's no one in billing you can speak to.
They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced and response time is a joke. They steal from you and all you can do is send them a text they'll ignore for days. No one to speak to on the phone in an emergency.
They don't care about your reproductive health and are happy to outright rob you. Avoid this company at all costs.”

“LOVE!! I was skeptical at first & had my doubts, but I am impressed & happy with the chance i took, getting my BC pills from the internet! Seemed insane, getting my BC pills delivered but I havent been let down. Ordered it & product has showed up & is the same that id get anywhere else. I had a few mishaps, that werent their fault. & were on me, I forgot i was allergic to the generic brand of my pills, i accepted the order with the generics they suggested & after a day realized i am allergic to an ingredient in them & can only take brand name of the pill. I emailed them, within 2 days i got a happy, accommodating & understanding email back & they corrected the prescription. I moved & forgot to change my address, again, i reached out & they corrected the issue & fixed where it would be delivered & replied back again within 2 days. customer service goes a long way & is what will keep me coming back. they are impressive & so helpful & the fact they reply & correct things & are legit, is just amazing & unheard of in this day in age. keep up the good work! DEF WOULD RECOMMEND. THANKS TwentyEightHealth!!”
“After being redirected from using simple health, to twentyeight health, I am impressed. At first, I was skeptical, but after using this to get my birth control, there isn't anyone else I'd rather use. They are awesome, very helpful & accommodating. I was allergic to the generic brand, & I reached out letting them know. Within a day they answered my emails & took care of all my concerns & got things straightened out. The prices are great & not too insane. They are great & I would recommend them to anyone!”
“Worse experience on Earth. I've been waiting over FOUR MONTHS for my birth control pills and they still have not arrived, even though I was told they'd be filled MULTIPLE times, they still have not been processed and NO ONE will respond to my emails.”
“Absolutely terrible services!! They do not respond and ive been waiting for my birth control for almost a month ! The worst site ever! Don’t bother wasting your time”
“This company does not respond to you and due to this my birth control has been disrupted. Then they had the audacity to pause my account because they said *I* have not responded despite reaching out multiple n times. Look for other options! Do not put your cycle put risk by using this website!!”
“Shop other brands like Nurx. I've now missed my prescription because it was either never sent or delivered. Reached out to Nurx and they had everything prepped for me within 48 hours”
“Since Simple Health (who I never had the slightest issue with) has been taken over by Twenty-Eight Health, I have stopped receiving my prescription. I am also unable to reach ANYONE. You can only reach them by text or email, and they don’t respond. Maybe their brand name stands for the days they wait to reply to your messages?
They’re horrible.”
“They're OK. I enjoy having the convenience to get my pills online vs having to go to the doctor, but the first time around I asked them if I could be switched back to a combination pill as the symptoms for progesterone only pill are horrible l. they said yes and I confirmed that the change was made be made. They said I should have it in a week. Got it, same brand as before. I messaged the Dr and customer service, asked them to make the correction and to send the new pills out asap. They said June 28. Welp it's July now and I never got my new order. Here's to at least another month of bleeding and fatigue and breakouts everyday 🙃. Do they not have a database? I don't get it. They have, however responded pretty fast to me the first time, hopefully will get good response time for this time.”
“Been trying since April to get BC and it’s been a night mare. Used to use simple health and never had a problem with them but 28 health bought them out or something like that and it’s been horrible ever since. Their prices are double. Response time is like 2-3 weeks our. Been waiting for 15 days for my prescription to be reviewed and it says 5-7 business days. Emailed them like 3-4 times before I got a generic response that didn’t help. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!”
“If I could give less than 1 star I would. do not want anything to do with this horrible company. I didn't receive a response for 10 days and have been trying to get ahold of them for weeks before that. They only respond once every couple days and they respond with a new person every time and that person doesn't know what you need or want so the conversation just starts over again. Ridiculous. And tried to charge me $240 for one packet of birthcontrol! Absolutely unprofessional. I will NEVER use this company. Simple health was so amazing. So disappointing.”
“Takes a week or more to hear back. The only way to contact them is via messenger and email (you cannot get a person on the phone as they do not publish their number intentionally, or they hide it well). They have issues applying manufacturer's coupons too. Lastly, I received an email my prescription would be delivered in 2-3 business days and it is going on 7. I emailed and sent a message about this (due to no phone number being available to call), and I received an auto-reply that they will "usually" respond in "under a week" (which is a lie, far from it - was over 2 weeks the last time I contacted them).”
