“The servicer from Keisha at TYPO store Innaloo was absolutely amazing. She was very helpful and went out of her way to get a product sourced for me. Well done - what an asset she is to your team. Thank you Keisha”
“The employees were pretty nice when I was curious about the items they were very helpful. Typo was actually a pretty good quality store great for buying elegant stuff.
I bought some pencil cases, pens and notebooks! I love their store!
Will come again!
amazing store!”
“No idea why Typo is getting so many bad reviews. I love typo online and instore. The quality is great, I love getting gifts in there. Their Christmas Wrapping Paper is elite and their Christmas decorations are amazing. All the staff in the store are always so friendly and you earn money off with the loyalty points.”
“I purchased a bag from this company at Christmas and used it only a few times. The straps have all frayed and a big hole appeared in the bag. I emailed the company who were extremely unhelpful and not willing to accept any accountability for the terrible state of the bag. They suggested I drive over 40 miles back to the store for them to ‘analyse’ but didn’t care when I said I have disabilities and had gone on the train when I did visit. Aside from the fact that it would cost me a lot of money to travel to take it back. I attempted to make a complaint which wasn’t dealt with and when I asked for head office details due to then being in breach of contract for selling a bag not fit for purpose they refused to give me these details saying they cannot give out internal contact details! Avoid this company like the plague their customer service is shocking. Judging by the reviews I am not alone.”
“Had an awful experience today with extremely unprofessional staff in Typo Tygervalley. A young girl had slipped on the floor and landed quite hard, and the three female staff members found it hilarious and continued to laugh hysterically long after the girl had left the store. A customer was trying to pay at the till and the cashier could not keep a straight face for long enough to explain the checkout process to her - you could see the paying customer was not impressed. I eventually approached the laughing staff members on my way out and told them that I don’t think it’s funny to laugh at a young girl who has potentially hurt herself from a big fall. At which point they continued to laugh, and I could hear them carrying on as I walked away. Typo, this is absolutely unacceptable and honestly put me in a terrible mood - this is not customer service and extremely unprofessional! Best believe I won’t be shopping here again.”
“THE STORE MANAGE AT NARELLAN NSW - CHANTELLE - SUCKS!!!
she is rude, obnoxious, and talks over her customers. In my case not once but twice, screamed down the phone at me. she advised me that the fact that the ceramic item broke despite the bag breaking was "NOT HER PROBLEM" even after being shows the broken bag. the item was not even wrapped. I highly doubt she even spoke to the area manager. this will alo come out in the wash”
“Horrible customer service from Menlyn store. I was told that it is December and i should expect to wait longer in queue. There was no queue- just 1 customer at the till and they could not be bothered complete the transaction or open the other till. Even the customer was uncomfortable as they were deliberately slow and spiteful. Last you will see of me Typo
Thank you for saving me money on you overpriced cheap products”
“Good day
The staff were unpleasant very serious without a smile and unhelpful.
Every year this time I buy Xmas gifts there were no sales etiquette...another client even complained about them as I left the shop she needed 15 Diaries...because they were so unpleasant she went to PNA it was for the company she works for.
Waterfront Cape Town Branch.”
“Love the variety and humor of products however, everything is overpriced and flimsy or cheap looking. Water cooler I bought recently is leaking since the design of the product wasn't executed well, another review said the same (also I have no clue on how to leave product reviews on their site). The pens look epic and write nicely but the ink never ever ever lasts for how long it is supposed to, leaving you with a pretty but useless ornament.”
“Appalling customer service on Sunday 17th September at the Exeter branch.
The two girls on the till failed to apply a 10% student discounts when clearly shown valid id.
When challenged on this they concocted an implausible excuse and claimed that they couldn’t rectify the error! The shop is clearly being run by scam artists. Won’t ever be purchasing from that store again!!!!”
“Faulty items were received (dirty, scratched, indented) alongside items that were not requested but received instead of the items ordered. There were also items that were already opened, which is appalling and a health hazard. I would like to have a refund for the items that were (purposefully or not) damaged. For this, I have sent the list of all items, with the faulty ones circled in an email, but the server is not accepting any emails from me? I have bought items from this store in the past, however, they never got to me in this state. I do hope this was just an "eerily coincidence" between the items that were received this time, but seeing the amount of similar reviews, and the fact that Typo either blocked my email, or the server is too full of complaints, (so it won't accept anymore) made me rethink my decision of buying from here ever again. I will advise everyone else from my industry to not bother. Just lost A LOT of possible customers Typo, as they probably will advise more people to do so after hearing about this.”
“Purchased a diary from Typo and nowhere was it advertised that the month it started on was bloody July!! How stupid is it to start a diary on that month!! So now I am unable to use it for work unless I purchase yet another one! Baring in mind ALL of their diaries are like this!”
“Terrible! Thought I would do click and collect at a store that had what I wanted in stock so would be faster but nope even if they have in stock they order in from their warehouse. Currently been 10 days and no news. Chasing it up is useless. Can't help me. Please be patient. No idea when it will arrive etc. Last time I order from them.”
“Went to Innaloo & Karrinyup stores on consecutive days & had rude service on both occasions. I bought a stack of storage crates, with a view to purchase more if they worked. I found one was collapsing easily & didn't seem to be clicking strongly into place like the others I bought so I went went this morning to Karrinyup to exchange it & ended up requesting a refund rather than exchange as the staff member was so rude, questioning that it was supposed to collapse (as I already know) not understanding that it was a problem for it to collapse so easily with a light touch if used for toy storage if kids are picking it up & it collapses when they are carrying it around. I actually like the crates but I won't be returning to Typo again & will try another brand version instead.”
“I have a gift card to use at Typo. There is an issue with it on their on line store and it’s impossible to speak to a person. I use their chat and I have been assured of 2 phone calls and an email. Nothing happened. You cannot speak to an assistant and there is no phone number.
When I called a local store they said they can’t help me.
No customer service at all. Typo is owned by CottonOn and it’s impossible to contact them either”
“I went to this store to purchase a birthday present and some Christmas ornaments with my partner and friends. When we went to the checkout to pay for our items we were conned by the lady behind the tills and told we could go and get a further 2 ornaments and they would be free. This was a lie and we were charged for them unfortunately as we live in Plymouth and didn’t check the receipt until we got home we can’t make the trip back to go to the store to complain in person. She also offered us to donate £1 to charity and we would get a free bottle of water, this was another con. Our friends were also conned in the same manner with the offer of free ornaments which they paid for without realising, which begs the question how many other innocent people has this shop conned?”
