“What a brilliant event. My husband bought me a driving experience for my birthday to drive a classic Mini Cooper S around the track at Upper Heyford. All the staff there are great, the instructors are extremely friendly, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable. The range of cars are amazing and the whole experience left me grinning from ear to ear. I cant wait to return and try out another classic car or maybe even try my hand at one of the super fast cars such as the Austin Martins.”

“The stuff was frendly and cool, the instuctors were very proffesinals , and made you push to car to your limits , wich pretty amazing. Was a dream to drive some of these cars , highly addictive tho.. Totally worth the money!”

“My driving experience was a present from a family member and I was disspointed because I am a wheelchair user the facilities at the event wasn't very good . I could not get into the briefing area properly because the doorway was too narrow . The hand controls on the car were not very good ones and at the end I did not realise I had a hot lap . And know one pointed this out and where to wait . And also at the end I could not see my photos that had been taken because there was steps into the viewing area .”

Hi Scott, thanks for the review. I'm sorry you didn't talk to the crew on the day as they would have been really happy to sort this out for you. We have lots of disabled visitors and drivers. The photographers would have bought the photos out to you on a laptop if you had asked, what a shame you missed these. Clare

“The whole day was so well organised. The cars and the instructors were awesome. The instructors made it special as they pushed you to the limit of yours and the cars ability to make the experience special. Looking back it seems the instructors also enjoy an in house competition of who's driver can go the fastest, done by code on your form. I love this as it helps them give you the best experience possible. Thank you for my day. Rob”

“I was given this Drive Experience as a birthday present from my partner. I chose the Austin Healey 3000 and the E Type Jaguar because I was a teenager when they were first produced and I've always thought they are the most beautiful sports cars made in Britain. Amazing how much power these old classics have but the Healey required a lot of strength because of the lack of power steering. It's not a race but you do tend to drive as fast as you can and the supervisor that's sat with you seems to have unlimited patience. I loved the drives so much I immediately booked the Audi R8 which is a completely different type of car. Loads of power, brilliant brakes and steering - loved it. Take warm clothes because it can get chilly while you wait your turn on the side of the track. Can't fault the experience and if I had the money I'd do it again - and again. Something I shall never forget.”

“It was very well organised with accurate details on how to find the venue and clear procedure once on site. I liked the fact that I was encouraged to drive in my own way rather than being pressurised into driving in a particular style.”

“I enjoyed the experience of driving the E type Jaguar and DB9 Aston Martin,though I felt that they they were set up fully for track,I wasn't quite expecting this and the DB9 instructer in particular kept pushing to perform faster and faster,which to an extent I enjoyed but would have preferred to have built up speed at my own pace.”

“It was well organised and the instructors I had were great, helping, talking me through the track, very good and would recommend. My only complaint was my partner did not have the same treatment when she was driving. Didn’t do much talk through or anything, I bought the video so hence she heard such a difference with the instructors with me, and I have had experience as I explained, so this is why my partner felt that she didn’t get the same treatment which was a real shame.
