“generally the experience was good with a good selection of high performance vehicles. Track conditions were poor with bad surface on the corners which resulted in the corners being tightened thus reducing the experience of cornering in a high performance vehicle . Facilities for refreshments were poor in the cold weather conditions necessitating queuing outside.”

“Unfortunately my disabled fiance did not get to complete his driving experience because the hand controls used are only temporary. He did not feel safe driving at all when the accelerator stuck and he was unable to use the brake so he asked the instructor to take over driving. Although I had telephoned and emailed Udrive to confirm his requirements before and during the booking process, on the day they were not even aware of his needs. As an experience for disabled drivers and my fiancee in particular, I have rated this 'very poor'. However, the duty manager couldn't have been more helpful and arranged a full refund straight away and offered a passenger ride as compensation. As a birthday present it was a big disappointment, but the staff at the venue did everything they could to help, which we truly appreciate.”

We are really sorry that the experience did not work for you. We had discussed hand controls via email and this information had not been carried forward to the event which we take responsibility for. However having fitted the hand controls, the fact that it was a different make to the one used in the customers own car made it difficult for him to control the car himself. The instructor was able to deal with the situation and then give the driver a passenger ride, which at the time the customer was very happy with. We did refund you and you had a complimentary photo, and please accept our apologies again. We are sorry that you felt so let down. We have discussed internally at length our process for dealing with drivers needing assistance and will focus on improving our service in the future.

“The approach on site at Heyford was professional and the cars were all you'd expect - very quick indeed! However the circuit there is far too short and so there's no chance of experiencing what they are really capable of. They are too "long legged" for that. Using a line of cones on an old aircraft runway is uninspiring and absolutely not like going round a genuine circuit like Brands Hatch - which I did years ago in a formula ford. So overall a bit disappointing.”

“A little disappointed that there was no video available in the Mustang. Mother-in-law said, when we were talking about the experience on the way home, that she counted 5 laps. She was aware that I was doing 6 laps but thought the sixth lap was the "hot drive" . Also when my wife booked she was led to believe from the description that it was a Shelby Mustang, she also thought the "hot drive" was going to be in the Mustang.”

“Thoroughly enjoyable. The straights are not long enough between the bends, and four circuits would be better than the present three. All the staff were delightful, and my instructor, James, in particular was very thorough, friendly, helpful, and a delight to have in the car. Una Garvey. X”

“Despite it being a bitterly cold March day my drives of a Lotus Elise and Caterham 7 were brilliant. The U-Drive organisation and emphasis on safe driving was excellent and the instructors who accompanied me on the drives were both helpful and encouraging me to drive better. Both cars were challenging to get into and the Caterham's foot-well is so tight I had to remove my right shoe to avoid simultaneously hitting both the accelerator and the brake. The posh luxury cars may be grand but for a real driving experience I'd thoroughly recommend these two sports cars.”

“Excellent day. I did the two car blast. 3 laps in the Aston DB9 and 3 in the Lambo Gallardo, both very good cars. Clear instructions and rules in briefing and a good idea to tour the track first. Instructors Mark and James were excellent and let me push the cars in the final laps. Highly recommend to car enthusiasts.”

“The staff and driver were excellent and driving the mini was fantastic but it was a very short time driving and a LOT of hanging around in freezing cold. They also hadn't warmed the car up so it took some time to even get it started - not very professional. The waiting room is cold because the door is always open and there is Lots of waiting around outside. Endless waiting around for a very short time driving. It could be much better organised. For some reason I wasn't given a ride in a hot hatch, though on reading the info when I got back I should have had this experience before getting to do the mini blast. Check what you're expecting to get and make sure you get it. It's all a bit unorganised. And after having your driving experience you then queue in the freezing cold for an over priced photograph. Horrible coffee too from a polystyrene cup. Wasn't really feeling the love but it did make me want to try another company in future and maybe pay a bit more for a more pleasant experience.”

Thank you for your feedback. I have checked the experience that was purchased for you and a Hot Lap Passenger Ride was not included, which is why you didn't get it on the day. Sorry you were so cold, we do recommend wearing warm clothes as airfields are notoriously cold places!

“What a great day. my wife booked the Jaguar E-type and a super car option for my birthday knowing that I wanted to drive the E-type. I did not know the circuit location and had some trepidation but thoroughly enjoyed my day there. From arrival, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Crag did a good pre session briefing and, despite standing in hailstones waiting for my turn, everything was well organised and the people were great. First up the E-type, a 4.2 series 2 that Phil talked me through and got me used to. Beautiful car and good instructor that obviously had a passion for cars. A fantastic drive that was everything that I hoped that it would be. Next, straight into the Audi R8. One extreme to the other in terms of car, but both superb to drive. Apologies that I cannot remember the name of the other instructor, (ex Formula Ford racer, you know who you are), but again a great instructor and a sublime drive. Given the choice, my only criticism would be a much longer track or about a thousand more laps in each car. My only regret, is that I didn't get to drive the Shelby 500 as well, but I will soon. Fantastic day and great staff. Thank you to all of you.”
