“We have been using kiln dried logs for over five years but found the quality variable. Sometimes they were not as dry as they should have been or the consignment contained logs that were rotten. Having heard about heatlogs recently I phoned Chris who sent me a complimentary set of boxes to use on our range cooker. They produced more heat than kiln dried logs; were easier to handle and store in the garage. I subsequently ordered a full pallet and we are enjoying more consistent Central Htg temperature from our cooker.

“We have been using UK heatlogs for the past 3 years. Normally we purchase from Aldi@£2.99 per box, and was so disappointed to find that Aldi were not selling them this year (2014). However, we were more than delighted, after discussing with Chris at UK heat logs, that a special offer meant we could have 44 boxes delivered on a pallet straight onto our drive at about £3.05 per box. Well worth the extra few pence and saving time and effort at Aldi.
With regard to the logs, they are clean, easy to handle, and strong burning. The glass on our burner just needs a quick wipe over each morning. They will burn slowly when the controls are turned right down. We have a large chalet bungalow, well insulated, and so far this year we have used CH only in the morning. The fire lit at midday warms the house throughout until we turn in. A really excellent product. I do hope Chris can maintain the offers, which clearly passes benefit to him and his customers rather than Aldi!”

“I was a bit apprehensive when researching heat logs versus normal logs. I had used ordinary logs in New Zealand for the last 11 years and experienced problems with heat output with moisture content (usually caused by the way the logs were stored by the trader or getting wet whilst being delivered).
I have been pleasantly surprised with these UK heat logs. The order and delivery process was easy with the logs delivered on a pallet in conveniently wrapped packs of 3 and dry because they are delivered in closed transport.
If I hadn't purchased the heat logs then I would have gonefor the kiln dried logs because wet or high moisture content logs just don't give the heat and whilst they may be cheaper they can work out dearer in terms of efficiency and heat given.
I will order more UK heat logs for the winter and the loyalty bonus discount makes them an even better purchase.”

You are bang on when you say moisture effects heat output. Less moisture equals more heat, our logs carry approx 6% by where as a kiln dried log is 20%.

“There's not much needs to be said. The batch of UK logs we ordered recently are a better product than the European version we used last year, in that they were better packed and less susceptible to damp over a number of weeks. The order process is easy and there's a human to discuss any issues with, so that if anything does go awry, it can be dealt with quickly. I'll happily recommend UK Heat Logs to anyone with a wood burner for the uniformity of burn and output and the minimal ash to be cleared out.”
