“I was looking for a replacement for my Phillips Sonicare, which, after about 4 years was not working properly. Rather than just buy the same one again I did some research online and came across the Spotlight Sonic Pro which had a good review and was reasonably priced. It arrived very promptly and is still working on its first charge after two weeks. I like how it does not need to sit in a recharge base when not in use, so no dangling wires. In terms of performance it operates at a much higher frequency than the Phillips and is very effective at keeping my teeth clean.”

“Delighted with my blush pink sonic toothbrush starter pack. Love the long lasting battery and all the different settings plus the timed brushing per zone. Only flaw is that the brush heads don’t sit totally flat in the travel case which means it doesn’t close properly.”

“Disappointingly, I am finding this product very unnerving to use. I have a relatively small mouth & teeth and when the back of the brush head inevitably touches another tooth, it makes an unpleasant ‘grating’ noise! (Most frequently felt when cleaning the backs of my upper teeth) Also I find the sound for setting 2 (clean mode) extremely high pitched. Additionally, I am finding it very difficult to get used to the tingling sensation on my tongue. My partner feels the bristles are rather soft and the oscillation doesn't feel as effective a cleaning method as our previous electric toothbrush.”

It can take a little time to get used to the sonic technology, especially if you’ve been using a different type of electric toothbrush before. You might find it helpful to start on the sensitive mode (setting 1) for a few days to allow your mouth to adjust before gradually increasing the intensity. As for the tingling sensation and high-pitched sound, these are normal with sonic brushing and usually become less noticeable with regular use. We’ll also pass on your feedback about the brush head and bristle firmness to our product team for review.

“The electric toothbrush and the heads are okay but the tube that the ultra whitening toothpaste is in is awful. The exit hole for the toothpaste gets all clogged up blocking the hole. Also the last quarter of toothpaste is very difficult to get out of the tube. This REALLY needs redesigned. If not I think I will change to another toothpaste.”
