“I bought this toothbrush on the back of research saying how good it was I didn’t see anyone tell you how much it tickles if it touches your gums or any part of your skin. For me it makes it nearly impossible to use on every setting. I’ve tried! Same for both my kids who have it a tried it too. If you every been to the dentist and they clean your teeth and get your gums it’s the same as that. So sadly I think I’ll need to buy another toothbrush to help on the areas where it touches my gums which is where the staining and issues really occur. I wish someone had told me because it’s a deal breaker and no one in the review I read mentioned it. Apart from that it looks beautiful, it was sent in gorgeous packaging, it arrived on time and quickly, it works etc.”

We are very sorry to hear that you find the sonic toothbrush to be tickly - we do get reports from customers from time to time stating that they find the sensation tickly at the beginning and this is because it is getting to all those inaccessible areas within the mouth. This sensation passes after a couple of weeks and customers report being able to use on the highest setting without feeling a thing. Our advice would be to stick with it, use the sensitive setting starting off - the sensation will pass.
“Hi, bought two for myself and my wife after looking at comparison reviews. Only had them for just over a week, but initial impressions are very good. The sonic performance on setting 3 is impressive and certainly feels as though it is doing a good job. You have to learn to be careful not to turn it off whilst brushing, but managing that that doesn’t take long. Looking forward to seeing how they perform over a few months.”

“I have been looking for a sonic toothbrush to replace my ageing Waterpik brush and saw this Spotlight with good reviews. First impressions are good with high quality packaging, possibly too high as akin to a £1000 phone. There's no charging plug, only a USB-B connector and no instructions what power of USB plug to use. The toothbrush head is quite small or the compact size which was disappointing as I prefer the standard size. The brush is quite thin, light and a smooth plastic with no rubber texture inserts so once brushing, it can be quite difficult to hold and control. As a previous long time user of sonic toothbrushes I want the intensive cleaning feeling after you brush, but sadly even on the highest Whitening mode with a full battery and new toothbrush head the intensity is only moderate. I certainly don't get that tingling dental hygienist feeling after brushing which is disappointing and feels like I am letting my teeth and gums down.”

“I ordered six new heads and they arrived in a different colour. Looks weird on my toothbrush. The brush is white as is the last head but the new brushes are light blue.”
