“My wifes magazines delivered from Germany are useless from you guys. We are now two years into Brexit. and you still can't get the act together. I kicked another company into touch re delivery & signed up to you. But sadly your are even worse. When my year subscription is ended I doubt I will renew unless you buck your ideas up. Unfortunately the situation is completely out of our control, especially as we don't work with the publisher directly and go through suppliers to obtain our magazines. It has been a problem obtaining many different titles, not just from Europe, but from the US and around the world. Many other companies have also had the same problem it is not just Unique. Unfortunately it is not as simple as 'getting a grip' - we want to continuously exceed customers expectations and always fulfil orders on time. It is a completely different process to ordering something from Germany directly as a consumer.

“The packaging was not suitable for the type of product that I was receiving -- it caused the magazine's corners to bend and it also allowed water damage in it. I also didn't receive the correct magazine. From the listing, I was certain that I was going to receive the face magazine, but I ended up getting the bike magazine. I had ordered the bike magazine from a different website because I wanted to have both, but now I have a duplicate. And because I had ordered from a different website and it came in perfect condition, I know that it could've been packaged better.”

We endeavor to ensure our packaging is efficient as possible, we had hundreds of orders for this publication and it has been extremely rare that customers received them damaged.

Renewed my subscription and within days of renewable and taking payment email received advising Sudoku book will only be sent every two months instead of monthly as previously, but no reduction in price. I believe this may contravene trading standards. Previously been happy with service”
Hi, Sorry to hear this.
Please be assured the reason we would have sent the email after the payment was made, is because this is when we would have been given the information of the publisher of the magazine. This means what will happen is you will get all 13 issues you have paid for, but rather than it lasting one year, it will now last longer due to the frequency the magazine is now released. This means you have effectively paid for 13 issues and this is what you will get.
We have little control over the release dates of the magazine and are informed by publishers, then contact the customers right away.
I am sorry about this but you have not been charged too much, as you will get all issues you have paid for.

Hi, I am so sorry to hear this! So we sent this from the UK to Belgium via priority airmail. We never send them damaged and depending on the weight of the magazine, we include different packaging with various strengths. I am so sorry that during the transit system, your magazine was damaged and I would like to help resolve this. “It is now 30 days since I purchased the magazine, and I am still waiting for it to arrive. I did email yesterday asking and all I can be told is that it was dispatched on the 28th of October. I also asked for a waybill or reference number for tracking and again was told no Unique Magazines can not give that. I can only complain after 60 days of not receiving it. This is a Christmas present and I doubt I will receive it before the 10th of December. Very disappointing.”
Hi, I am so sorry to hear this. We sent the magazine the same day you placed the order, via priority airmail. We ask customers to let us know within 30 days that the issue if an issue has still not arrived but with the rest of the world, we are unable to act on claims until it has been the maximum date of 60 days. From experience, this is the maximum time it can take for magazines to arrive overseas, outside of Europe and so we ask you to allow this before we send another issue or offer a refund. When the magazine has left our warehouse, it is slightly out of our hands as the royal mail must deliver it. However, as we provide the product, we will always compensate when the time scale has passed! If you would have liked the order for Christmas, it is always best to check with us first to see when is best to order however, it is likely the magazine will arrive before Christmas. “I am not happy that I am charged double the price that is printed on the magazine. It certainly doesn’t cost that much to send as I checked how much to post and the plastic bag isn’t expensive. We run our own business and purchase stronger mailing bags and they only cost pennies. They should explain where they get their castings from. If I could purchase Angelina Ballerina elsewhere I certainly would. Unique magazines are ripping people off.”
Hi Gill, Hope you are ok and thanks for the feedback. We are not publisher's of any magazines but stockists, meaning a lot of processes and hard work goes into getting your order to you! We must purchase this off a supplier first of all which differs than if you were to order from a publisher, as they could send it direct from there printers! We then generate an average subscription price, based on a few factors. These include the cover price of the magazine, considering whether prices can fluctuate per issue. We also consider the weight of the magazine, also having thought of any possible gifts attached. The packaging is also included and the postage price per each issue we send out. We also must make ends meet as we are a business and work to make profit and ensure our staff are looked after, as they work super hard! We appreciate our cost is more than the cover price and it is understandable to query it with us, as we want to ensure you know exactly what it is you are paying for! If you wanted the magazine for the cover price alone, it can usually only be purchased this way through publisher's and in stores directly, as they are not delivered and must be picked up (for the most part). “When I ordered the subscription as a gift it was not explained that the October edition would not arrive with him until November. I’ve never come across a magazine service before where the October edition was not sent at the end of Sept. The point of subscribing is that you get it before it’s official release. I rang today and basically it’s my fault! Delivery dates are on the website apparently. Not good customer service. They will start with September instead of October now, whereas good customer service would be to send Sept as a gesture and begin the subscription with October edition in November.”
Hi, Sorry you feel this way. The release dates of the magazines are out of out control. This is an American magazine but the on sale date in the UK, differs from what it does within the United States. Our national database shows us this quite clearly and the site informs you of the date the issues are due. This seems to be the case with a few American magazines and the UK on sale date often does differ, due to the time that must be allowed for it to arrive into the UK. The only time you get a magazine on the exact sale date, is buying it in stores of from publisher's directly, as they send it from the printers.
You had originally selected to begin with the Oct issue but we have changed it to the September edition, which will go Friday, due to the time the birthday falls.
Since the dates of when they arrive into the UK, is out of our control, we cannot compensate. If there was a error from our end such as a manual problem or even a missing issue in the post, we would always compensate though!
You spoke with my colleague and we both do apologise for any inconvenience. Unfortunately, we have little control of when the magazine goes on sale in the UK and is distributed to us here in this country. This is also the case with other online newsagents too, as they arrive into the UK at a similar time. This mean's it is not just us getting these issues later in the month, but other online magazine companies too.

Hi, I am so so sorry to hear this! I can confirm we checked in with suppliers and were informed, issue 08 was not published, hence the gap in your subscription. I can confirm this means, nothing was deducted from your sub for this missing issue and an extra issue will be provided at the end of the subscription. The sept 21 issue is due on the 24th of September and this will be the next issue of your sub, kicking off your renewal. I really hope this is ok and thanks so much for your understanding.
