The online learning platform is good in general, however, it needs some improvement regarding the teachers and the explanation.
In module 1, Nour was a very excellent teacher, Modules 2,3 and 4 were acceptable so I could get explanations through videos already recorded where I could find answers and explanations, moreover, the teachers of these modules were very helpful and always available for support.
In module 5, I am not satisfied at all, as the teacher's response is very brief and understandable.
I meet a lot of obstacles and unclear information or questions in the assessments.
The preview modules were much better than module 5, as they had more clarifications and explanations in many ways.
I would like to inform you that I am not 100% satisfied studying module 5 and look forward to any improvement you could provide to me.”
“I am very new to the online learning platform, 30 years since I last studied anything of this magnitude, and so far I am extremely impressed with Swinburne Open Education. I had great service right from the start with a course consultant, guidance on how to navigate the system and find everything I need to get on with y course.
The interaction I have had with my first trainer/ assessor has been fantastic and I am thankful her all her guidance. The forum to be able to chat with fellow students has been great as it has helped me see that when I have been stuck, I'm not alone.
I have set myself a study plan and a finish date and so far I have been able to stick to it even though I work full-time and have a family at home.
I finished my first module & submitted the two assessments with trepidation but my trainer/assessor marked and commented so quickly that my mind has been put at ease and I am looking forward to starting the next module.”
“I like the material and assessments. Only thing O don’t like is the role play. There is too much! I don’t mind it if I had to record myself but to find peers who want to do it is hard! I know I can do it with other students but then I have to probably reciprocate and be in their role play. That’s the only thing I hate. I just have to depend on others to get the role plays done.”
“Really enjoying the course work but the Placement Portfolio does not match Cert 2 requirements, there is so much work involved that I have thought about dropping out of the course multiple times just due to the portfolio. The Portfolio is not hard just so time consuming and hard to get support from the uni regarding this.”
