The worst utility company I have ever dealt with. Live chat is completely pointless, they just give you a phone number that you call, wait on hold for an hour, and then they cut you off. Never respond to emails. They rejected a requested supplier switch a number of times but couldn't provide me with a reason so we're stuck with them. Spectacularly bad customer service. I would strongly recommend you go with someone else.

If you looking for a energy supplier don't choose utilita they're absolutely rubbish the service its very poor if you call they live you waiting for an hour or more then you book an appointment and then they cancel the appointment 2,3,4 times it's ridiculous I've been waiting since last year for someone fixing my smart meter display this is unacceptable

1 star rating is just pushing it in my book if you ask me!
I was referred by a friend as I was told that the electric would be alot cheaper than most providers. I thought lovely it’s saving me more than what I’m paying at the moment!
Wrong!…
My current provider explained to me that even their standard rate is 3 times more than what I’m currently paying at the moment. And then I would have to pay for this and for that. I had a bad feeling about swapping over to Utilita but ignored my gut feeling. Then my provider put me in touch with Utilita their end to see if I wanted to still proceed with Utilita or stay with who I’m currently with. I finally got through to someone after 45 minutes and when I did the thing on the other end didn’t really care what I had to say but then got arsey when I said I didn’t want to change over to them. Her attitude stunk big time. She then referred me to a different department which I just thought they could cancel my switch there and then clearly not. I was on hold for over an hour and a half no music no nothing it was like no one was on the other end of the phone. I thought I would do more research on the reviews for Utilita and I’m so glad I did! So friggin glad?
Reading these reviews with my jaw hitting the floor with this company and how they are actually still in business flabbergasts’s me. I just can’t believe that they have put people through this and still having the cheek to take their money but for their neighbours too by reading the wrong meters how is that even possible! I really do hope these people get back what’s owed to them what Utilita have taken. I have 3 children and 1 of them suffers with bad eczema which requires her to bath twice everyday. Reading these comments saying they haven’t had no hot water for days I would want to drag the owner of the place through a bush backward by his/her hair and the customer service!
Thank god I eventually stuck to my current provider!
Stay away from Utilita no go!

Giving utilita a 1 star is being polite. The customer service is atrocious. All they do is repeat the same thing and do not resolve the issue. The waiting time to get answered is ridiculous I’ve once waited over a hour just to be told to be more patient with them. I’m glad I left and joined another energy company. Avoid utilita at all cost!

Absolutely atrocious customer service - £40 on both gas and electricity and it's gone in a week, people are barely getting by whilst these energy companies are raking in billions in the profit through putting our population into even worse poverty, the rates and greed of this company is unreal for the pathetic excuse for a service they deliver.
Nationalise Energy.
