“I flipped my account from Utility Point several months ago. They continued to take direct debit after I flipped and now owe me over £600. They promised payment by 31st December and here we are on 8th January and no sign. Shame on you Utility Point. There will be people out there that rely on prompt refunds to feed their families.”
“AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST! They were great when I was still a customer, but I switched suppliers on 23rd October and I’m still waiting on a refund of over £325!!! I’ve emailed them 3x; had a response to the initial email saying I’d get my refund by 10th December, no response from the 2 emails I’ve sent since. This is NOT acceptable 😡😡😡! VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!”
“AVOID AT ALL COST!!!! I CLOSED MY ACCOUNT AND 6 weeks later I'm still waiting for my refund for what I'd overpaid, telephone staff very unhelpful and give the same answer everytime I phone 'its being processed!!!!!!!!!
Would they wait this long if I owed them?????”
“Waiting since October flip to another supplier for my £400 credit from Utility Point despite several emails from me and unfullfilled promises from them. Disgusting delay and will be contacting Energy Ombudsman straight after Xmas.”
“Recently switched from utility point to another company and they are still holding on to the £200 they owe me. Despite being over 5 working days past the original deadline. They always take at least 20 minutes to answer the phone and do not reply to emails in a timely fashion. No apologies or explanation to why they can't process the payment. They weren't even using the meter readings I was giving them - just estimating my usage through the whole contract. Avoid.”
“I left Utility Point several months ago yet despite numerous emails and regular promises to refund me the balance owed to me I am still waiting for them to settle my account. Essentially they appear to be doing everything possible to avoid paying me back for as long as possible - ignoring my emails, promising to get back in touch and then not doing so, saying payment has been made and then inventing excuses, promising to 'escalate' things over and over again. Worst service ever. Avoid at all costs”
“Prices were good, hence the one star. After six months they increased the direct debit even though the account was over £250 in credit. Promise to reduce it did not happen so I cancelled the DD and started the process of switching to another supplier. Supplied meter readings to new supplier and Utility Point on changeover date; new supplier acknowledged and set up account whereas Utility Point ignored the readings and carried on billing me using estimated readings. Fortunately, I have used up all my credit balance and actually owe them a small amount. I refuse to telephone and be kept waiting so I use email and receive auto-reply promising to get back to me in 3 to 5 days but they don't. I have had many different energy suppliers over the years but this is the only one ever to be a problem. If you are thinking of switching to Utility Point then DON'T!”
“I've only just switched but so far so good. I've been kept up to date every step of the way but at the same time I haven't felt overwhelmed by too much contact. The emails I've received so far have all been necessary. I'm happy so far with this energy provider.”
“We have only been with this Company since our previous supplier ceased trading in September 2019. So far - so good !
The website is easy to navigate to input meter readings.”
“Have only been with Utility Point for one month, but the switch took place on the date given, with no hasle. Extremely happy to be with Utility Point.”
“I have been with Utility Point for a month. The transfer was handled without a hitch. Everything has been conducted successfully online so I have had no cause to speak tp them at any time.”
“Avoid dealing with this company, very difficult to make contact via phone, and they use delay tactics when monies are to be refunded, very fed up with them”
