“Very sturdy, bikes were completely stable on 500+ mile trip. Highly recommend this if you need a 6 bike carrier. The hydraulic piston works great when lowering the carrier but is a PITA to get the thing back in position to pin it once you disconnect it to lay it horizontally to take the carrier off, which is about the only functional way to manipulate it. You would need to men to instal it angled up. Horizontally 1 man and a teen can get it done. But like I mentioned the only way for it to get into this position requires you to un pin the hydraulics and they don’t go back together easily. I wish it was a little lighter and I wish the main vertical support had the ability to be adjusted for hight. My Escalade hitch is plenty high so If could lower the bike hight it would be way better for fuel economy. Believe it or not mountain bike tires about the roof will wreck your fuel economy to the tune of -6mpg. I’ve check with my 4 bike flat tray style and 4 bikes on the velocirax and that’s the difference”

“This rack is a game changer! It has made the transporting of our family's 4 mountain bikes, an absolute breeze! I'm a 5'7" 130 pound woman and have no problems operating, installing, removing or moving the rack. The only thing I wish is that you could drive through automatic car washes, with it installed on my car. I also love the attachment you can purchase for trucks, so the tail gate can still be opened with the rack on the truck. Definitely purchase the optional cables and lock as well... that is super convenient.”

“I love this rack! It is bombproof! I also have a 1UP Super Duty. I bought the VelociRax 5X because the other rack was very "floppy" with 4 bikes and I needed to carry 5 bikes. The VelociRax 5X makes loading very simple, the bikes do not touch anywhere, and they are very stable, even on rough roads. I also took a trip from Texas to Utah and back and had the VelociRax on the back of my travel trailer with 5 mountain biles, with no issues. It was secure and worked great! The only problems were not with the VelociRax 5X itself. The bands they sell to lock your brakes tend to break. Use velcro cable ties instead. And, before our trip to Utah, I sent a text to their customer service (per the website's information) because I was interested in purchasing the narrower VelociRax 5 cross bars for my travel trailer. Never got a response. The last thought is that this rack is very heavy! It'll take two people to safely mount it to your receiver. Small price to pay for the convenience and security this rack provides.”

“We love our Velocirax. We use it on our car, truck, Rv, and to store the bikes on at home. We recently took it on a 2500 mi round trip behind our camping trailer. We did not have to readjust the bikes at all! Our only regret is that we did not buy one sooner.”

“Great rack. We struggled to find a rack large enough to transport bikes for a family of five. With 3 kids who do triathlon we are always on the move. We get compliments at every race!”

“Fits all 6 of our mountain bikes with ease. We took a Summer road trip with all the bikes and enjoyed places we had wanted to ride for years. It tilts back, making it easy to get into the back of our SUV for items along the way. It's now mounted easily on our garage wall for bike storage. It can easily be moved back to the back of our vehicle when we decide to ride again.”

“Love this thing. We have it connect to our 2011 Honda Odyssey, and it makes traveling with our 6 bikes a breeze. Also, love the garage attachment which allows us to continue using the rack when it is not on the van.”

“Rack is good but I really do dislike the black straps that go around the wheels. They suck. Hard to get the holes to go over the piece that secures it. There has got to be a better way to strap the weeks down”
