“We booked a car rental through VIPCars.com and later amended the pickup date/time. VIP Cars confirmed in writing that the change had been made and assured us the rental would be ready for collection when we arrived a few hours later.
When we reached the rental desk, the supplier stated they had not received any notification of the amended booking and refused to honour it. As a result, we were left with no choice but to take out an entirely new rental on the spot at a significantly higher cost.
We immediately raised the issue with VIP Cars. While they acknowledged the problem, they have continued to say they are “waiting for a response” from the rental company, with no resolution provided, even as we approach the end of the rental period.
This situation arose due to a breakdown between VIP Cars and their supplier, yet the customer is left out of pocket. The lack of urgency and accountability has been very disappointing.
I would strongly advise anyone using VIP Cars to be cautious when making or amending bookings, as confirmations provided by the broker may not be honoured by the rental company.”
