Virgin Experience Days was launched in March 2001 under the name of Virgin Experience. Originally offering experiences to corporate clients as a way of incentivising staff and customers, the company rapidly expanded to bring the Virgin values of quality, innovation, value for money and fun to the consumer experience gift market.
The summer of 2003 was a real milestone for Virgin Experience. In our continual quest to bring the best experiences and unrivalled service, we joined forces with Acorne Sports. Founded in 1988, Acorne Sports is the original experience company and it’s their stamp of approval that confirms our pedigree and ability to deliver unforgettable experiences. Acorne ’s unrivalled reputation, knowledge and relationship with all of the featured centres made them the perfect partners for Virgin Experience, a company dedicated to making sure customers have the very best time. By teaming up, we are able to challenge the way every experience is provided and offer once-in-a-lifetime gifts backed up by friendly service staff with first-hand knowledge.

“We booked a spa day with a 25-minute massage, & after looking forward to some relaxation over the Bank Holiday weekend, we were hugely disappointed! Upon arrival to the spa, we were not shown where any of the facilities were (other than the changing rooms), nor where to get towels from. The steam room itself was not working until we alerted the staff to this; credit to them for resolving this issue but it seemed we had to keep asking for anything to get done! All-in-all, the spa is very average!”

“We received the Virgin Traditional Afternoon Tea as a gift and decided to go along to Thoresby Hall Hotel in Nottinghamshire. The afternoon was a delight from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious and all the staff involved in the experience made us feel very welcome. The quality of the food was far superior to a number of other venues we have attended and would not hesitate to recommend this experince to anyone who is looking for an extra special treat!”

“Purchased vouchers £89 for Beatles Exhibition & 3 course meal with wine at The Richmond Hotel, Liverpool. Very disappointed to find out that we could have got this for £85 if we had bought tickets, dinner & wine at the venues themselves. Poor value for money and after waiting for over 10 minutes, on phone at premium rate, to speak to customer services at Virgin Experience was told, "We have to make a profit."”
