Virgin Experience Days was launched in March 2001 under the name of Virgin Experience. Originally offering experiences to corporate clients as a way of incentivising staff and customers, the company rapidly expanded to bring the Virgin values of quality, innovation, value for money and fun to the consumer experience gift market.
The summer of 2003 was a real milestone for Virgin Experience. In our continual quest to bring the best experiences and unrivalled service, we joined forces with Acorne Sports. Founded in 1988, Acorne Sports is the original experience company and it’s their stamp of approval that confirms our pedigree and ability to deliver unforgettable experiences. Acorne ’s unrivalled reputation, knowledge and relationship with all of the featured centres made them the perfect partners for Virgin Experience, a company dedicated to making sure customers have the very best time. “Have used virgin experience days several times, great for birthday gifts, date ideas, days out etc. There’s always something different and new to try and at great prices, especially when they offer a student discount. Will continue to use them to save money and so I can set the bar even higher each date night lol!”

“Tired hotel - The Bell Teweksbury Noise levels in room unacceptable due to kitchen extractor fan and road (which I am aware cant be helped) Lovely staff, but lacked training and guidance long waits for service, didnt have evening meal due to delays, but the quality of breakfast was poor, very greasy and unappealing Great Location, and Teweksbury is fab”

“Terrible experience. Location poor and service beyond a joke. Afternoon tea shop purchased scones and cucumber sandwich! Cocktails overpowered with cinnamon. Just terrible”

“The afternoon tea was a bit dated hotel also dated very basic but was only £20 pp .. I was a bit underwhelmed .. staff were lovey and accommodating but not at all fancy Washington hotel Mayfair”

“Best thing I've found for bdays and Christmas , excellent choices for everyone . I've been given a few now and always had excellent time I would highly recommend . going to treat me and husband to some for Xmas.”

“This was my first time using Virgin Experience Days. I used my voucher at Bella Italia Gateshead Metro Centre. The whole experience was most memorable and now considering buying a few vouchers for this years Christmas as gifts to family. Thank you Virgin :)”

“Fleeced us of our money. Cancelled five times then will only give two thirds refund back, so this huge conglomerate is pocketing a huge £100 for cancelling us five times!”

“We enjoyed a meal on the RS Hispaniola on the Thames and we were not disappointed! We have saved our Thames sightseeing tickets for another time and we will definitely be visiting the Hispaniola for another meal!”

“Having now been on 2 Virgin Experience days with my husband I would say that this is an amazing gift idea. Highly recommend The Angler champagne lunch, the food was out of this world, we are defiantly buying this for family to experience also.”

“This was a birthday gift for me and I didn’t know what to expect. I have been to a few wine tasting events in London, but Wine Cottage wine Tasting was by miles the best wine tasting due to quality of their wines, fun atmosphere and most importantly the passion of their wine instructor who made this a very memorable evening. I 100% recommend this to anyone who likes wine. The venue is also in a great location at 8 Northumberland. Me and my partner will be recommending Wine Cottage to all friends and family. Thank you!”

“"Craft Your Own Gin for Two at Devon Gin School" - a truly fantastic experience, choosing your ingredients and making your own gin = 5 stars. Virgin Experience = -4 stars, equalling a solid 1 star. These vouchers are a hassle to actually activate and use, and Virgin will charge you extra at any opportunity to actually make use of them. You only have to look at their responses to other negative reviews to see how little they care for the customer. Would highly recommend this experience to anyone - just book direct with the vendor and save yourself a lot of time and money!”
