Scam subscription started after ordering with no easy opt out, then rejected cashback after tracking as 'it didn't track', bunch of scammers

3 bottles of wine for £10 offer covertly starts £25 per month payment. I purchased 3 bottles of wine for £10 from an introductory offer. The bottles were delivered promptly. On checking Virgin Wines reviews I found many references to 'scams' so investigated the website. I then discovered that Virgin Wines had secretly started a £25 per month payment to their Wine Club. This was never agreed to and I could find no reference to this intention in the original offer.

Another person weighing in on the disgusting scam this service is! I won't ever use Virgin anything ever again. Stealing from people at Christmas time during this economic climate is actually evil and I hope this business goes completely bust.

Bereavement: Making A bereavement estate management expensively difficult. Will not even comment if there is a credit balance on account without letters that will take months. Right pain!! (Other providers just post a cheque!! )

Disgusting! £75 wine voucher! Does not state it is only money off at all until you look at small print very misleading!

Absolutely disgraceful! I paid £14.99 for a small gift for a friend, and was then charged (without my consent), for a monthly subscription to their 'wine bank.' My money is now held by this company. The fact that so many people have gone through this shows how much of a nasty scam it is, and they continue! When I contacted them I was told I should have read the smallprint. WHY would it be smallprint if they're charging me? It should have shown at the checkout. Highlights even more how they're trying to scam people and are hoping you won't check your bank balance. AVOID. Vile.

SCAM!!! Avoid After signing up via O2 priority on what seemed like an enticingly good offer I was then entered into a recurring subscription for a “Wine Bank” account I never asked for and was really not clear this was what I was entering when going through the motions of ordering. Virgin wine = Absolute shysters - avoid like the plague! Will stick to my local wine shop.

Complete scam. Signed me up for something I didn't ask for. I cancelled they confirmed and charged me anyway and now refuse to give me my money back despite their own advisors confirming I cancelled.

Lied consistently about my order arriving before Christmas. Their wines are overpriced and in my opinion not worth the money. Never will use them again, they are in my opinion not honest people.

Horrible service. Dark patterns that sneakily add you to a recurring charge subscription l. Charge you without asking. No way to cancel online. Have to call in during your work hours and spend ages on hold >20mins. Total scam. Reported to the au consumer ombudsman.

TRICKSTERS. Introductory offer turns out to be an absolute scam because they somehow link your PayPal account to a repeat order that is so clever that you don’t realise what’s going on until you get a PayPal notification telling you money’s gone from your account to Virgin Wines. When you complain they have the audacity to deduct postage from the order and make you wait until they get the shipment back!!! TRICKSTERS THAY MAKE YOU PAY FOR THEIR SNEAKY PRACTICES. A Virgin trip that you’re bound to regret.

Wish I could leave no stars... You respond to an introductory offer and inadvertently pre authorise £25 payments via PayPal... What a scam .. And the wine was undrinkable... Then you can't get your PayPal details of the website or cancel your account...👎👎👎 Don't be fooled into any offers from these people..

Ordered what I thought was a on off order. Have received emails since saying Virgin were taking a PayPal payment, which I just pressured was spam as I didn't sign up to anything. But checked account and they have been taking monthly payments without my consent.

Don’t bother using the specific day delivery service. Ordered a birthday present hamper to be delivered on the birthday and gave 3 weeks notice. Got an email on the day saying couldn’t be delivered and here’s a £2 refund! Thanks Virgin Wines but I just wanted you to do what you say you can do. Fully let me down

I have been in the wine bank for a very long time and am always delighted with the wine I receive. It always arrives very soon after it's ordered, sometimes even next day. The prices are very competitive especially with the discounts available through the wine adviser. It has to be remembered that as with most things, with wine you get what you pay for; I wouldn't normally expect to get a drinkable bottle for less than £10.

Unfortunately a terrible experience and… Unfortunately a terrible experience and a very bad experience. I ordered once and they automatically sign me for a 25£ a month vine bank without consent. Absolute scammers and the emails didn’t stop coming, plus they are rude never ever look at what you email them just trying to sell more. I was upset because my delivery was delayed for days and they didn’t care. Avoid this company go for something local Majestic same vines better prices, helpful team support. Now I need to see how I can recover my money for something I didn’t subscribe….I attached a phot of them telling me that I should’ve read the terms where it says they are signing you to a automatic direct debit without you agreement
