Great product easy to install and use. I have Volumio running on a RPi with a HiFiBerry DAC+ Pro. My original intention was to just use it for internet radio but now I have my music collection on the sd card which works great. With Volumio v2 I had problems with the wifi connection and had to reboot regularly to restore it, but following the upgrade to v3 the problem seems to be resolved.

Upgrade old hi-fi with Spotify, mp3

I’ve got my high resolution music library and Spotify all at my finger tips on my laptop, iPad or iPhone. I can easily adjust volume and play DJ from my living room, which is a long way away from my music system. Very convenient.

Tried Volumio 2, now on Volumio 3. Both versions are very buggy for me. Glad I didn't pay for this software. Control from my iPhone doesn't always work. Looking for something else.

The short version is that Volumio is fantastic. I have a raspberry pi3 with a digital->analogue converter and I'm pleased as punch with the setup, operation, and sound quality. The ability to connect to multiple different internet sources with ease is incredibly convenient, as well. It's the perfect thing to run in the background during those long WFH days. Highly recommended.

Just another happy Volumio user on this side of the keyboard. I build 2 set's at home, one in the living room as an alternate for lack of radio signal from our provider (Ziggo) in the near future. 2e one in the mancave which is also used for camping use during events. Both working perfect, thanks

I've been using it for about a year and I wouldn't change it for anything else, that's exactly what I need. Thanks for everything!

bluetooth streaming is still glitching, sometimes spotify and tidal plugin needs to be on-off-on to be visible on network.

I have been using volumio for several years. The updates follow one another and it still works and always on my rapsberry pi b | hifiberry dac. I am absolutely conquered. However, sometimes there are bugs but a reinstallation and everything is ok. Many thanks to the team behind this project and its maintenance.

my free volumio version works very well with an RPI 4 which was preinstalled (the right choice for me). I am very satisfied with it and it suits me very well for my use.

It rocks… Stable for me with Pi3s and different DAC hats. I’ve integrated one of those inside an old Linn Majik amp I had spare to use in my office. I use the web interface. Love it.

Tested several audio players for Raspberry pi Volumio is the best. Missing one thing, connection to Bluetooth speakers. Pi has that but not Volumio.

This is a wonderful thing. It does everything you could ask. I love it and all I can say is well done.

Great operating system for a RBP. I’m using it with a cheap USB DAC From Behringer and sound great. I can only imagine the possibilities regarding sound quality if used with better hardware. The interface is very well made, connections are reasonably fast and secure via WIFI or Apple Airplay. Only thing I wish for a a renewed style of the user interface… it is starting to look dated.

Очень хорошая ОС, но не хватает поддержки Deezer и Яндекс.Музыка.

I am using the latest Volumio version 3.198 running on an Allo USBridge Signature plus DigiOne Signature (spidif output on RCA and BNC) streamer. I recently suscribed to Volumio Premium for 59.99€/year to get Quobuz integration within the app which was expected to work with no issues. The Volumio app runs on iPhone and iPad (both devices running iOS 15.3), it is easy and nice to use, however the bitrates shown on Qobuz tracks are mostly wrong, and there are several usability glitches too, but the WORST ISSUE is the annoying noise or distorted sound coming out of my DAC (Hugo TT2 with M-Scaler) when going from the current track to a track that has a different bit rate, no matter if higher or lower, no matter if on a playlist or not. This happens both using USB or spidif. The issue is well reported in the forum with no solution support. This issue does not occur when using Qobuz native app running on the same iOS devices connected over USB to the same DAC. For me this is a show stopper till Volumio resolves the issue, quite frustrating, especially when I suscribed expecting a better experience...

Tried serveral installations. Volumio does have a nice interface, easy to use bleuthoot en an nice app for jour phone. But every 2 day's i need te reeboot the Pi4 becouse after a number of connections, the app wont connect anymore. very anoying. set volumio to reboot twice a day, but after 4 to 8 connections ( from 2 phones ) , it would't accept any connection more. so i ended our volumio tour. maybe in a while, if things has been fixed. because it did what it had to do, with a nice interface and app.

This review is about Volumio (the software) on Raspberry Pi 4. This is a brilliant piece of software and very well supported by the community and Volumio. There is a small learning curve, it's fun, interesting and does its job brilliantly. I am using Volumio to power my RPi based DAC Streamer and love everything about it. There are a lot of well-written plugins to accomplish pretty much anything that is within the scope of an audiophile quality streamer. The Volumio platform supports all popular streaming services at high resolution, including Spotify, Rune, several Web Radio stations, direct media play from USB devices, even supports YouTube hosting. On the hardware side, there are literally a whole host of DACs with varying levels of sophistication that ply well with RPi and Volumio. I am totally in love with Volumio and would happily recommend it to anyone who wants to have a bit of fun and learn to build a Streamer.
