“I can't connect to the phone even though i have fully installed i can see the devices to connect but when i click connect i get an error. about the software runs well but not very friendly.”

“Generally worked well on RPI 4 2GB, but found it impossible to connect to my SMB folders using simple authentication. Had no similar problems with Moode, which worked perfectly.”

“I use it as a cheap wifi streaming solution on a raspberry pi zero. It works quite well most of the time except for the occasional crash resulting in a high pitch loud tone. Could be hardware related..”

“Volumio v 3 is near perfect. My only complaint in the subscription model for the upgrade. I would prefer a one time fee for major upgrades or additional features vs the the subscription model. Otherwise the product has been performing exceptionally well.”

All hosted on my Raspberry Pi and controlled from my Mac or my iPhone. It also includes a powerful parametric EQ in v3 (for those who care about such things!) Highly recommended.”

“Version 3 is faster and more stable in raspberry 3+ and zero W. Still not convinced to pay extra money to have tidal integration, that I already pay. GPIO plugin missing in version 3 is a drawback, please give back the GPIO control! Apart from these small issues volumio is a fantastic piece of software, in design and user friendly is the best among the competition. Well done!”

“Since Version 3 almost all features for using GPIO and Bluetooth stream are gone and I’d have to pay 6£ per month to use them. I used Volumio on my Self built music box, but since that, I’m looking for alternatives. Dont get me wrong: I’d be happy to pay once for a software that’s good, but I wont pay 72£ a year just to use the same options as in Version 2.x”

“I love the volumio player, it is very convenient and intuitively simple, very pleasant sound, I use it on a computer with DAC IFI and a MARANTZ amplifier. The player is constantly updated, it supports a lot of formats except iso unfortunately, and in the free version it does not play CDs. Many thanks to the developers! Good luck and health!
