Not satisfacted with Volumio OSanymore. My tidal Intergration is gone since three weeks and tech Support doesnt help me . I pay via virtuoso subscription. I think i will switch to roon. The Volumios is very buggy and the tech support slow or not existing.

I looked at Volumio on a 4GB Raspberry without a DAC attachment. I connected Volumio to my Denon AVR via HDMI and was able to play my music from the NAS just fine. What many don't know, almost all AVRs basically process all input signals digitally with their own built in DAC because of room adjustment and loudness, etc. An external DAC only makes sense if the analog input is "looped through" from the receiver. I then got the Volumio test account to try out Tidal Connect - that also worked - but that's not how I wanted to control and manage my local and streamed music - I want to have all my music in one application - unfortunately Volumio can't do that. I then got the solution from the company Teufel with the app Raumfeld to try out. This solution can do everything I was looking for. Just great - that's exactly what I would have expected from Volumio. I have therefore terminated my subscription with Volumio - I think Volumio still has a long way to go - good luck.

I quite liked Volumio…its interface is very friendly and makes it very easy to use….the only thing that bothered me and I couldn't resolve was that I couldn't make all the album covers appear…the rest is all very well.

Per ora tre stelle lo sto confrontando con Daphile che offre molte più funzionalità a costo zero.

I'm trying to run Volumio 3 on a Raspberry Pi 4 with HiFiBerry DAC2 Pro and Usparkle 15.6" touchscreen, with the analog audio output going to an inexpensive 300W stereo amp. I'm building all this to put in an old radio cabinet to make a kind of modern juke box. The DAC2 Pro is not selectable in the Volumio options, but the DAC+ Pro setting seems to work well. The sound is kind of thin, and lacking an integrated software equalizer of any sort in Volumio doesn't help. I had to add an outboard car equalizer to make it listenable. It sounds good now. Volumio doesn't work with my existing '.M3U' playlists, so I've had to figure out how to port them over to the format that Volumio uses. I'm able to listen my library of 10,000+ songs ripped from CDs and vinyl all loaded on a NAS. Volumio shuffles them well. Improvements I'd like to see in Volumio are the ability to sort the music library by Year, the addition of the aforementioned equalizer, and the ability to calibrate the touchscreen, though, I realize that isn't really Volumio's problem.

New free version 3.0 works great. Installation is quit simple on my raspberry with Allo Piano2.1. Use chrome to connect and hmi. Thnx for sharing. Only quite difficult not to say impossible to copy playlists from earlier version. Otherwise 5 stars.

Great but the best features are not free. Paid subscriptions are a big NO for me. Does Sonos charge you each month to use their products? No. Well I prefer buying an expensive product once and never pay anything else. No hidden fees.

I recently upgraded to version 3 to realise that Spotify Connect functionality is now behind the Premium paywall. A heads up would have been appreciated. I wish I hadn't upgraded.

Not a bad looking app, but did not work for me. I had it kinda working but after I reinstalled, I can no longer access the plugin store, even though I have a Volumio (free) account. Spotify should work out of the box and not require a plugin.

Very simple to download, configure and get running - first time I have used a Raspberry Pi so expecting some tinkering but none required. UI is good on iOS especially on a tablet. Never used web radio before and only did because it was so easy. Very impressed thank you

Using volumio on a raspberry pi 4 with a hifiberry DAC and a mission audio system. Sounds great. Streaming Dutch radio is my favourite.

Initially I was using Kodi on an android tv box as an audio streamer and to play local files. Now switched to a Rpi which I still had laying around and installed Volumio on it. I use the USB port of the Rpi to connect to an asynchronous DAC, this works great (no noise, jitter because of the asynchronous DAC). I am pleased with the simplicity and easy of use of Volumio. Volumio app is easy to use, has a nice layout and local files are very easy to browse through.

Feels like they’re charging premium $$ for a Beta version of their software. Premium features (Tidal) don’t work consistently, and the pricing model doesn’t make sense. I can buy a new dedicated Tidal connect device for the price of a three year volumio subscription, and I won’t have to supply the hardware. Not worth the price for the premium subscription if all you want is tidal connect

Have a budget TEAC UDH01 Dac that I like and is good quality albeit not sought after due to it's age....+ no streaming capabilities. My 10 year old LENOVO laptop (WINDOWS 7) was the source of the TEAC and problematic and it was virtually impossible to install W10 onto the laptop. I installed VOLUMIO and voila Magique > the TEAC DAC runs problem-free and sounds awesome w/VOLUMIO interface. Definitely well designed and engineered software.
