It’s a really complete solution streaming audio. I just wish there was a ”lifetime” subscription as Plex have done. The manifest gui is great. Although I use the the free tier so sorry to see that I cannot use it. As of now the subription is to expensive for what it is.

Streaming and digital in general is new to me. Vinyl was my first choice for too many years. Choosing an rpi4 through i2s to a dac and using volumio, opened up new horizons in music listening. Tidal connect remains in Volumio 3 sometimes a bit problematic but quite better than volumio 2. CD quality and DSD is really good through Volumio but I cannot say the same about hi resolution and MQA ( a bit weird sounding exaggerating high frequencies? I don't know) . In any case controlling your music from your smartphone is a luxury that I can't live without it anymore. I am sure that the Volumio team will continue the good job and the reasonable pricing policy. The support is great and setting the rpi is really easy.

5 Star product on the free version with Raspberry Pi and Audioquest Dragonfly Cobalt. I use Tidal and I can stream using Roon and Audirvana, Full MQA with those 2 and Volumio. I am trying now the Volumio with the Manifest user interface, which is beautiful and adds value. This paid version enables Tidal Connect, but Volumio does not perform the 1st unfold and Audioquest is just renderer (2nd unfold), so no Full MQA (4 Stars product finally). With the latest update of Volumio (3.198) Audirvana does not see Volumio (please work it out!). Thanks Volumio

Good program. I used the version on Raspberry Pi and on an old computer.

Just another happy Volumio user on this side of the keyboard. I build 2 set's at home, one in the living room as an alternate for lack of radio signal from our provider (Ziggo) in the near future. 2e one in the mancave which is also used for camping use during events. Both working perfect, thanks

my free volumio version works very well with an RPI 4 which was preinstalled (the right choice for me). I am very satisfied with it and it suits me very well for my use.

Tested several audio players for Raspberry pi Volumio is the best. Missing one thing, connection to Bluetooth speakers. Pi has that but not Volumio.

Great operating system for a RBP. I’m using it with a cheap USB DAC From Behringer and sound great. I can only imagine the possibilities regarding sound quality if used with better hardware. The interface is very well made, connections are reasonably fast and secure via WIFI or Apple Airplay. Only thing I wish for a a renewed style of the user interface… it is starting to look dated.

Очень хорошая ОС, но не хватает поддержки Deezer и Яндекс.Музыка.

I use it as a cheap wifi streaming solution on a raspberry pi zero. It works quite well most of the time except for the occasional crash resulting in a high pitch loud tone. Could be hardware related..

Volumio v 3 is near perfect. My only complaint in the subscription model for the upgrade. I would prefer a one time fee for major upgrades or additional features vs the the subscription model. Otherwise the product has been performing exceptionally well.

Checks all the boxes for me and sounds great!

Works and sounds great with my FLAC collection. Hanging out for an EQ plugin to make this 5-star.

Volumio 2 was good. Volumio 3 is good with virtually nothing renewed, at least nothing directly noticeable compared to 2, a few features that were deducted from 2 in the free version. I am using 3 and my attached CD-player became useless junk after the upgrade but I did this upgrade with the sole reason that I am waiting if Deezer is supported with a plugin. If that would never happen I probably switch back to 2. I also think the subscription plan is over the top. It is for the real fans, just like e.g. Plex. I do not mind to support the development of using the features (remember there is no service) but I think covering the speed of progress that could also be done with say 3 euro's instead of 5 per month.

New operating system and app are better. Paying to access tidal not so much

With Volumio I found practical use for an old laptop. In fact I noticed that I don't need much more for music listening. With a decent DAC and Hi-Fi system connectd to the laptop I can enjoy technically high quality music. I can save my whole CD collection on the HDD of the laptop as well as listen to them, web radios and streaming services with a simple system. As long as I don't make own recordings, I only need a FM tuner for local broadcastings to listen to all possible music sources. If I can wish some improvements, first it would be nice to install Volumio 3 to a laptop, not necessary so old i now have. Secondly it would be nice, if the DVD drive of the laptop could be used for music uploading to Volumio (on the HDD of the laptop) and if the Wi-Fi connection of the laptop could be used for Internet connection. Now the last two features do not work. In any case I will also experiment how Volumio works on Raspberry Pi 4 - possibly for a music system for my summer house.

Excellent sound using Primo. Tidal connect integration works very well. There are some ux issues like sorting is not remembered. Also, the Tidal daily discovery is not shown.
