“Works great for me. All my music is on a NAS, so no need to pay for a premium service I don't need. Version 3 update worked flawlessly on my Pi 3b & Justboom DAC, however would be good if the plugins from the previous version were updated and working. No doubt this will happen over time, but it is a minor inconvenience. Overall, a fantastic piece of software, if you don't need the paid add ons. Highly recommended.”

“Hello sorry to say but I was really motivated to use volumio on my Raspberry and was OK to pay. But now we have to pay a monthly fee for using volumio in addition to qobuzz monthly fee. I pay for a service, ok but not to use my own device. And the player is just a rebrand of free player. So I m sorry I've some difficulties to pay so many every month and even with he subscription i I don't have music. Looking for other alternatives now and have my Raspberry recycled to something else.best regards laurent”

“Ich nutze Volumio mit einer allo usbridge signature und dig one signature. Klanglich bin ich voll überzeugt, Equalizer etc. ist nicht nötig, das steuere ich mit der folgenden hardware. Die Einrichtung ist schlecht dokumentiert, insbesonders die Einbindung meines NAS. Als entweder besser beschreiben, oder automatisieren. Gerne bin ich bereit, für Software zu bezahlen. 60 Euro / Jahr im Abo erscheint mir aber erheblich zu teuer.”

“Works good but way too expensive to stream lossless music and lack of support to streaming services such as apple music, amazon music even at the premium price. Also, I do prefer to have inbuilt DSP as an option. Thanks.”

“I like Volumio very much. Volumio & Raspberry Pi & I2sDAC provide me high quality sound musics with reasonable cost. And Radio Paradise plug-in is my favorite one. I enjoy Radio Paradise on Volumio frequently. I wish to use Amazon music HD with Volumio . Is there some hard problem to this?”

“Volumio is a very solid and stable app, and I'm using it everyday. I wish the premium version was cheaper, and I would take it, in order use Tidal. Volumio is not a very intuitive app, but once we learn how to navigate it, it's fine. Currently I'm using a third party free UPnP app to select the Tidal songs. Nowadays, every penny counts.”

“Actually the specs of Volumio at first sounded pretty good. Espescially the possibility to use a Qobuz plugin. But the obligation to create an account and the necessity of a subscription led me to look further. I hate subscription plans, because you f***ed if the provider has authentification server problems, or there are DNS issues. I had that with adobe and ditched Lightroom because of this. I already pay for using Qobuz and that's okay. But at least 60€ extra per year in addition to that, just to play Qobuz, is way to much. I would have probably paid 50 bucks for a one-time purchase of the plugin. But now, using BubbleUPnP, works brilliantly for me. Now I run moOde Audio in combination with an open home BubbleUPnP-server on my streamers, and I'm very happy with it. This way, I don't need an account and I don't need to pay for it monthly. I'm happy to make a donation for it, though. If I'd be in the market for a serious streaming solution, it would be probably Audirvana or Roon.”
