It quit working after 1 day, and no matter what I did, I have been unable to get it to work again. My iPad tells me that it connects to the Raspberry Pi via Blutooth, but when I open the app, it endlessly says that it’s “searching for a device”, whereas before, it would go right to my Tidal library and I could select and play music.

Haven't really had time to explore all that Volumio can do. For the time being, just trying to find out whether I can record on a USB flash drive music that has been bought and paid for on Qobuz or Tidal.. I'll post further later when I've solved the problem.

Volumio was exactly what I was looking for and enabled me to set up a home music server with a Raspberry 4 in just an hour or so. The system is quick, easy to use, and sounds great.

I really do love this. I got really frustrated with playing good quality wav files through Windows - Crackles and pops finally made me snap. So after looking for solutions, I read about running a Raspberry Pi with a Justboom DAC hat, which is where Volumio came in. I've not tried other alternatives so can't really compare but Volumio has worked brilliantly since I installed it and got it working. The sound quality of digital files through my hifi system is wonderful. One of the best things for me though is its flexibility and ability to use airdrop to stream audio. I'm not an Apple fan, though I have a spare iPhone. I started streaming BBC radio stations directly through the web radio option but started to encounter a few problems. I then discovered the ability to stream stuff like MLB, BBC Sounds app, Spotify You Tube etc. through Apple airdrop which is a real plus. One thing I would say is the setup was not straightforward. I had issues that I think were related to my network so it took a bit of trial and error but it was well worth persevering. It's definitely worth using an ethernet cable to set up first before going wireless. Now its up and running though, it's great. The interface is user friendly and intuitive after a few plays. Last night I streamed some concerts on You Tube via airdrop and was virtually transported to the gig. Really recommend using Volumio for quality digital audio playing and day to day radio listening.

I really like it except for one important flaw. In Spotify it only shows you the first several playlists, and we have a lot more than are shown. For that reason alone I am looking for other solutions.

Güç kapatma var güç açma desteği yok. Mqa desteği yok. Hız olarak iyi olsada daha iyi olabilir. Sistem beklemede değil telefondan kontrolde kısa süre sonra tuş kilidini açınca tekrar bağlanıyor uyanık kalmıyor. Ses filtreleri desteği ücretli pakette yok ama yinede diğer sistemlere nazaran bunu tercih edeceğim deneme süreci sonrası devam etmeyi düşünüyorum. Teşekkürler.

Hello! There are a few software things that I miss! Tidal connect, MQA compatibility! There is a power button in the menu! Why? It doesn't wake up when it's off! Hdmi out gives me no picture!

Currently running 2 systems, both on a rPi-4 8GB. Jriver MC27 and since a week Volumio. I am only interested in bit-perfect audio. - I love the smooth interface of Volumio, versus the outdated GUI of JRiver. - The integration of Tidal and Qobuz with Volumio, which JRiver won't do. - I don't like the crappy library or better the missing manual adjustment/Maintenance in Volumio. Even though all albums that Volumio couldn't resolve have been re-tagged with MusicBrainz, still it won't recognize them. resulting in missing covers and artist. Even after multiple rescans, no improvement. Jrivers library functions exceeds. - Volumio won't provide any tools to optimize the audio to your personal preferences. Jriver has. - As Volumio runs on a rPi, sometimes the interface shows a prefix "common" on every label. This even shows in the Android app. Only a cache clear on the rPi solves this issue. Which is a bit annoying on a headless system. At this point I'am still using JRiver for 70% vs 30% on Volumio. Mainly because of the library and JRiver sounds a somewhat better (personal, I know)

Volumio is a very ambitious project which brings control of your digital music entertainment collection and streaming services to one place. During my testing I found it mostly functional and very intuitive but for me it fell short in performance and reliability. These were the deal breakers for me. The GUI's on devices both mobile and web not responding or updating to the current playing track. (two instances showing different information or not responding) Improper songs played when selecting a song, seems to randomly choose a different track.

I'm using it on RPi in my kitchen for listening Spotify and internet radio and it's ok. But there is only problem with spotify connect. Event that all is ok.
