Works with Tidal and my Raspberry Pi really well to give great sound over.my HiFi. Web Radio is also very welcome. Easy to use on Android, but only gripe is that you cannot go back to previous screen in all cases.

Basically I find Volumio as a very good and clear system to manage my local media but also to be able to play. When upgrading to the new version 3, there were a few problems with my system at the beginning, which led to me having to reinstall it. However, the process was very quick and unproblematic. Since then Volumio is running stable and reliable again. My favorite thing about it is the versatility - especially in terms of supported hardware and services. I use Tidal Connect and Spotify, but also Roon to control my Volumio endpoint and Volumio turns out to be a reliable all-rounder. I am very happy with it! :)

IN GENERALE VA ABBASTANZA BENE, NON VELOCISSIMO NEL CARICAMENTO DEI BRANI, MAGARI DIPENDE DALLA CONNESSIONE INTERNET ANCHE SE HO LA FIBRA. HO FATTO L'ABBONAMENTO PER LA QUALITA' MASTER MA LA MAGIORPARTE DEI BRANI CHE ASCOLTO SONO IN HIFI. SINCERAMENTE VORREI PROVARE ANCHE ALTRO.

Overall i am very pleased with volumio. There are a few minor things that are not working as i would like. The artwork from the albums that are stored on my Synology nas is loading very slowly. On my other systems e.g. Kodi and Moode this is not the case. The volume button could have a more prominent place, espacially in the "now playing" screen. And of course there is the IOS problem of not having the possibility to share from Soundcloud to Volumio. But that is an IOS issue and not so much a Volumio problem. Other than that Volumio works like a charm. It's fast, stable, clean and the new look is very good. The possibility of using bluetooth is also great.

Tidal connect only occasionally works, and only for a single track on raspberry pi 3 and zero W. The built in tidal support is ok, but nowhere near the same user experience as the main tidal app.

Ease of use and access by non-computer oriented people. Great sound quality.

I'm an avid DIYer, as well as an audiophile. I had recently purchased a well-rated DAC and wanted to stream to it from a Raspberry Pi, rather than having to hook my phone up to listen to music. With a TOSLINK HAT and Volumio, I was able to connect my personal library, my Qobuz account and more to my stereo system. I was able to scratch my DIY itch while also satisfying my audiophile needs!

Very good app. Simple setup, Easy to use, no delays. Sound quality is high resolution. Couldn’t be happier.

Lack of complete instructions and troubleshooting is beyond frustrating. For example, I have two raspberry pi devices. I finally got them to show up in My Volumio (don't ask me how) but only one works. Can't get the other to play music and I can't find guidance anywhere (not trying to play them at the same time, just switch back and forth). Tired of searching endlessly down the internet black hole. I just want to listen to high quality music for a reasonable price and I don't want to become a tech nerd to do so. Given on how buggy other users are reporting I'm just about ready to ditch the whole effort and either buy a server that just works (more expensive) or ditch streaming entirely because even Tidal through the device that does work (Orchard Audio PecanPi) doesn't sound any better than my Bluesound Node2 and both are substandard as compared to CD's and vinyl.

Great DIY options that doesn’t compromise on quality. It’s also quite flexible. I started with just a raspberry pi zero to replace a chromecast and the flexibility made me want to explore. There are loads of quality options that require zero technical knowledge (Spdif, DAC, Amps). It’s fast at connecting with Spotify connect or Bluetooth. Features are implemented regularly and so far I had no issues with it. The community is also quite friendly if you need help. The pay version is quite cheap (no more than the price of a pint). I now use it everywhere in the house. I’m happy!

I have Volumio installed on a Pi3 in combination with a "Topping D10s Mini USB" DAC. Own music runs via a small SSD on one of the USB ports and additionally I am streaming Tidal-HiFi. So far I haven't had any significant problems. Improvement desired: would be nice if Volumio could display the cover images from the Flac files.

When it works it’s a beautiful thing! I love it. But, there are idiosyncratic things happening that sometimes cause concern. I know it’s a system that was originally free, and many people like to modify code for their purposes. So, maybe it has to be this way. But, honestly, it still feels like a beta test sometimes.

App is good for sound quality, menu is ok but nothing special but the customer service completely failed when the latest release was launched

There are lot of good things, but i will point out some negatives which i hope dev team will solve. I only need tidal integration from volumio and tidal connect option, and that is not working great.

I am pleased to use Volumio especially with tidal connect. My only complaint is the Volumio mobile app that connect to my raspberry pie. When I play songs from within the Volumio app let’s say using Qobuz the app has issue tracking the songs I am playing especially when my phone’s screen goes to sleep. I always have to kill the app and relaunch it in order to catch the right playing track at the time.

It is quite good but I should like to address some complaints: first, sometimes it takes too Long to login (with Pi4) and secondly and more important: IT SHOULD BE AN MQA CORE DECODER such as usb audio player pro or audirvana

Works great. Had a couple of issues rebooting early on, but I reinstalled it and no problems since then. Has been flawless and sound quality is great.

I like what Volumio does as far as bridging my Tidal Connect to the Rpi4, but I continue to have an odd issue with my iPhone 12 pro and Volumio. Sometimes the iP12 will lose its "sync" with Volumio and for instance when I press to play a certain track, it plays something totally different?? The only way to resolve this is by restarting the iP12! Just closing out Volumio and restarting the app does not seem to do the trick. I am on the latest Volumio software version, and my iP12 is updated to the latest firmware as well. This continues to happen just about every listening session which is frustrating for me, but also when listening with family and friends, does not sell them on the benefits of Volumio compared to the $70/year subscription. I thought the new Volumio firmware version might have resolved this problem, but unfortunately it persists! Any ideas on how to resolve, I am certainly open to talking with a member of your technical support staff.
