Built my first network streamer with touch screen, based off a Raspberry Pi. Everything tuned out great, and I used Volumio to drive everything. Best music streaming program period.

it's almost perfect for my music jukebox project

I was using squeezbox for a long time and as streaming of Spotify or Tidal is not working well with Squeezebox I decided to establish a Volumio setup. First I built a volumio setup with a raspi and a hifiberry digi+. The sound was pretty good and usability was also very good. But I was facing some problems with stability. Every now and then I had drop outs and sometimes it stopped without a visible reason. I had to restart the session. Every now and then it doesn't respond any more. I had to unplug power supply to reboot the whole thing. Thought it was a raspi problem therefore I decided to buy the Primo. But the problems are still there. I run Volumio for more than one year, but now I'm testing the roon setup. After 3 days I am really enthusistic with it. Concept and usability is much better and by now I didn't face any stability problems.

It is ok. If it was free it would be good. But the pricing is so near to roon yet the features are so far away.

I use a RPI 3b+ and an IQaudio dac+ which sounds brilliant through my 100w 2.1 amplifier. I use a USB hub which i can access my mp3's mp4's without any problem whatsoever.

I use Volumio in Roon bridge mode only and it works perfectly fine with 3 different endpoints (2* HifiBerry DAC, 1 Audiophonics 2 ESS 9038 Q2M DAC). Happy that I found this solution

Using Volumio for TIDAL Connect. Playback works fine, but sometimes (not always) I need to restart my RPi before a listening session in order that my DAC is recognized.

Volumio running on my raspberry pi 4 is simply excellent. Direct DSD sounds superb.

RBpi3 + reclocker Allo Kali + Allo Piano 2.1 Very fast application. Quick setup - unfortunately I have a network problem here and am waiting for the networker to arrive. So far I'm going through "media servers" which has a number of limitations (bad search, sorting songs from the album alphabetically and not in order). For network troubleshooting, I've noticed that Volumio does write down the apparent cause of the problem, but I'm not sure it identifies it correctly, plus it flashes it at me very quickly. However, these are network problems - not Volumio. Any chance of an improvement ? Yes the ability to edit skins + if I'm controlling on PC I would welcome when I press the back button on the mouse and am in the "board" so if the page would return to the directory structure. The only problem I can identify is when I am in a directory that has lots of subfolders, and say 5 music files and I want to drop one of them - - it drops something completely different. But it's a marginal problem that can be easily solved by the user. Rating - I've tried Moode player as well, but Volumio clearly leads the pack for me. A great and fast network player controllable both via pc and mobile/tablet. Thanks

Wonderful free version application.I use it with RASP PI3b and PI4, dac ES9032Q (audiophonics and Khadas implementation).Works fine with vol2 or vol3 ,but initial sound takes 1 min with vol2 and 1 1/2 min with vol3 .Also access to plugins its simpler in vol2. So I use vol2 . Thanks a lot, great work.

Volumio is a wonderful application but some problems with connectivity i'm not able to make it working with a compatible wi fi dongle. Problems with spotify too i can't insert my password all other features works great

Works well enough, but Qobuz integration relies on the local wifi network and caps playback to 44K 16bit, not what I want when I'm paying for a Hi-Res. service like Qobuz. Using a Allo Digi USBridge with Volumio (v2.853)

I have Installed Volumio 3 with Rasberry 4 with external DAC. Mainly I am using Tidal and my local DSD files. Everything works fine. Just to add, I do have client membership also with Bandcamp with many albums that I have purchased in past. Wondering, if Volumio development team could or has any plan to provide Bandcamp client registered members a user access?

Just discovery this very nice project. I really nice the design and flexibility, like you can access from you phone using the browser. I will give 4 star now because I know there are a lot more to come.

After 12 hours, Volumio stopped working and I can't get it to work anymore

It is a fantastic software. Sound y very good, nice features, beautiful interfaces (web, app and direct screen GUI are great). The one thing that was dissapointing to me is the lack of Tidal support in free version (i am paying for Tidal subscription!). I would love to pay for it, but in my country results very expensive.

Unfortunately a lot of breaking changes as a result of the update from version 2 to 3. - No audio-output on HDMI on my RPi3a; - Most of the plugins don't work anymore (GPIO-buttons, Backup, ..); - Mandatory account to install plugins.
