Easy to connect to my amp so I don’t have to fumble around with wires and dongles to listen to music from my phone

I have been using the free version of volumio for years, ever since Logitech discontinued the squeezebox music player. It is setup on a Raspberry Pi SBC using a Hifiberry Digi hat to send data to the DAC in my amplifier. I have a music library of FLAC files. In this configuration it works flawlessly. Highly recommended. The volumio android phone app works very well and is highly functional. I recently upgraded to Myvolumio in order to use Tidal. This interface is a bit buggy and is representative of a 1.0 software version. The connection between the Tidal Connect on the phone and the volumio server is problematic. Some tracks play seamlessly, others stall after a few seconds and some never start to play. It is better to research the tracks you want and then play them directly from the Tidal/Volumio interface. There playback is seamless at that point. However, the Tidal interface on volumio is not as feature rich as Tidal Connect. Also, it is nearly impossible to add favorites from the interface. I have only had partial success in adding favorites from Tidal Connect on my phone, and then have them show up on the Tidal volumio interface. Even with these issues, the value proposition for Volumio is quite strong as I have to spend several hundred dollars more to get a network streamer with strong Tidal support. I am certain that the issues will be resolved in future updates. For that reason I haven't given up on myvolumio/Tidal. I am anxious and can't wait to see the interface improved.

Easy to install and very useful to turn Raspberry Pi into a high-res streamer with excellent sound quality. Internet radio access is excellent. The service I primarily use is Qobuz with some Spotify. This week I've had a lot of problems with Qobuz freezing between songs in albums. Very frustrating. I have also found that information flows (current song on radio, Qobuz album information, etc.) has been intermittent and buggy. I would like to see more of what Qubuz offers in it's direct interface. I'm generally happy with Volumio Primo, but these bugs in music flow will have to be worked out soon for me to continue to subscribe.

Primo Volumio is a great Network Streamer / Player. Setup and update is a little difficult. There is sometimes an annoying clic from the DAC when you choose text number. The software is good. There are a lot of way to play music but you have to pay extra for Tiday Support. There is a strange feature in the search for artists. It is a auto search but only when you type in 3 letters and numbers. So it is impossible to search for an artist like U2. It is a great player but not that user friendly and not Plug & Play

Really want to love this device, but the UI is limited. Need a way to filter results for big libraries. Why can’t I view my Qobuz artists by alpha instead of date added?too many restarts.

The set up was ( very ) difficult especially for the HiFi edition because the lifetime password was placed in a very un-intuitive place. But once set up the system works very well and I’m very please with the sound quality! There should also be a SMALL LED light so we know whether the set is on or off.

Volumio is great project. It's not for an ordinary users, sometimes there are problems with plug-ins (especially with plug-in for Spotify) but it makes what I expected.

Very good and consistent product. It works out of the box. The app could be a little slow from time to time. So far I could not test how it reads Audio CDs because of missing input adapters (opt, coax. only USB is available, basically). Good sound quality

I love Volumio, sounds great running through a 25 year old wave radio. My only gripe is no Bluetooth.

The Volumio in my Android phone, in order to control the Resp PI as streamer, often got out of sync or response. I have to force close and reopen in order to resume the control. As a freeware, I am OK for this. But once I become a paid user, this is something not satisfaction.

It works rather well, with some occasional non-material quirks/glitches. It should be documented a bit better, given its target customer base. I may consider subscribing in the future.

Volumio is free for spotify users👍, I use volumio on raspberry pi project, it works very well. control via iPad and Android phone, the control works very well. There is a minus point, linking to a qnap Nas does not work for me since the last update. pity. pairing these types of devices should be easier. With DLNA it works with a detour. you can upgrade to TIDAL against payment of € 3,- pm, but I would like to buy this off once for € 50,- instead of now € 150,- is not proportionate. unfortunately for Volumio. I'll stick with spotify as long as it stays free 🤫. but the sound quality through the usb port is formidable even if others claim it gives much more noise blah blah. trying out. so thanks again for your free project support👍👍

It does lots of things very well and I am listening to so much more music. Brilliant :-) When I subscribed, I couldn't get BT to work so I had to cancel my paid subscription

Is great . It would be nice to have some PeppyMeter screensavers as a plugin .

It seems like a very nice piece of software and generally performs well. However I cannot get Qobuz to work properly. Each track plays for only 30 seconds then moves on to the next track.

Volumio is by far the best solution out there at this price point, I would even go forward and say that it is a couple of features shy of competing with the likes of ROON. - it needs a little spit and polish on the existing UX and it's content aggregation features. It also needs a one time version based license business model in addition to subscription even if the subscription model is very affordable. That being said I am very happy with this solution, so much so that I'm thinking of joining the team to further it's development.
