“Volumio like the other Pi based music server softwares has progressed a long way. For me it was the fact it supported Tidal for $45 a year which swung me across from Mo0de. This means i don’t need more hardware and i can use my DIY DXD DAC.”

“Although I am really happy about the overal experience, I find Volumio (on my Raspberry PI 4/Hifiberry Digi+ setup) a tad unstable, especially when the network bandwidth is weak (it freezes and eventually resets the UI after sometime 30+ seconds) and the "pause" function's behavior is kinda heratic (when you resume playingn it plays a fex sec then skip straigh to the next track...). Other than that, it does the job and for the price I paid, I really think this is an amazing alternative to far more expensive Stramers. Let's be honest, it is a dirt cheap solution compared to 1000€ stramers (bare minimum to stream Tidal or Qobuz in Hi Res) and for me, my PI and my Atoll DAC 100, the experience is already incredible.”

“To rate volumio isn't straightforward. I guess, it'll depend on how you use it. Web UI and use of it on the large screen is 5/5 Trying to navigate in library with 7" touch screen - pain in the 455! Connectivity and support NAS, DAC, etc is 5/5 But most importantly - sound quality. On RPi4 it'll boil down to a DAC you use. In my case so far, HAT DAC2 HD is the homerun - 5/5 Maybe even too good. If there is a record flaw, you'll hear it! So the value to money ratio is naturally 5/5”

“I'm probably not even using half Volumio's features, but for what I want it for, it works perfect. I needed a decent but low cost music setup at work. I have some active speakers and a decent DAC and I needed a way to get my Pi to access Tidal and for this it fits the bill.”

“Basically Volumio very easy to setup and to use. Recognized a large sort of DA converters. The basic plugins are very easy to install and configure. The special plugins like snapcast I miss the documentation.”

“Running on a raspberry pie with my own flac files on a usb drive as well as streaming with Spotify. Works great on most of my devices. Cannot get to work from my phone yet. Setup was fairly smooth too.”

“J'ai apprécié la stabilité de VOLUMIO, logiciel facile à mettre en place et à gérer et surtout en français. Comme il est largement diffusé, ont trouve de nombreux tutos. Par contre les pochettes d'albums ne s'affichent pas dans ma bibliothèque ( disque dur connecté directement au Raspberry ) !!!! Dommage aussi qu'il faille payer un abonnement Volumio pour pouvoir intégrer et utiliser son abonnement Qobuz. Mais comme Volumio me permet d'utiliser Audirvana qui est installé sur mon IMac, via Airplay, je peux quand même utiliser Qobuz et j'utilise Volumio pour la radio. Bravo pour ce logiciel !”

“I got on the SECOND try. my slow network must have corrupted my first attempt at getting Volumio to work, but i started over and now i have it working! Now i amp learning all the things i can do with it!”

“Güç kapatma var güç açma desteği yok. Mqa desteği yok. Hız olarak iyi olsada daha iyi olabilir. Sistem beklemede değil telefondan kontrolde kısa süre sonra tuş kilidini açınca tekrar bağlanıyor uyanık kalmıyor. Ses filtreleri desteği ücretli pakette yok ama yinede diğer sistemlere nazaran bunu tercih edeceğim deneme süreci sonrası devam etmeyi düşünüyorum. Teşekkürler.”

“Hello! There are a few software things that I miss! Tidal connect, MQA compatibility! There is a power button in the menu! Why? It doesn't wake up when it's off! Hdmi out gives me no picture!”
