I love the community and I find that even the free experience is very good. I set the device up using the raspberry pi directly and then later added a HAT DAC, fully expecting to have to struggle to change the settings. To my surprise, the settings updated automatically and I got to enjoy the great sound right away! I find the experience on my iPad to be a lot more reliable than on my android app, where I do encounter some bugs.

Fabulous App for streaming music. I'm happy with it so far.

I use Volumio HiFi , my Volumio. The architecture is fine, I like it. The “playback adjustment” is not very clear for me. With Tidal it is O.K. but the adjustment with my server is not. The filters, oversampling…. Is not very clear. Otherside I dont understand why shows the playing M (Master of Tidal) sometimes 16/44 but other M cases 18/48 kHz?

Works nicely with qobuz.

Back after two years with Roon. Great Tidal integration and Tidal Connect👍

It's very nice.

Excellent features easy to setup. Biggest issue is that you are not able to group multiple players for multi room music. Hopefully that gets fixed ASAP .

I've tried a few similar products but Volumio was by far the easiest. No command line config and it even picked up my external NAS.

After a few tries I managed to get volumio working on my Redmi K40 pro and it plays Tidal. However I don't see my player when I click on the Tidal connect symbol when I play tracks on my Tidal app. Also the volume control in the volumio app does not seem to work. Nonetheless I am very happy with the sound coming through my digione signature (which I could order online and select volumio as the OS for). I am using a cable into the aes/spdif input on my Benchmark DAC 1 USB.

An excellent solution for music streaming. A bit buggy in places. Changing anything in network settings requires a reboot, adding albums and artists is a bit hit or miss and some of the places where you can do this are odd. But operationally it is excellent, stable, and a real significant addition to my listening.

The library of music is update too slow. Not easy to make a list

I needed a DYI streamer option for my HiFi system. Volumio was the best option for what I wanted. Sound quality is top notch, and setup was exceptionally easy. However, reliability is average and may be a pain for a non tech-savy person like myself. I also wish there was greater support for streaming options like tidal connect, the less reliable airplay, and the completely absent google casting (which is probably my biggest gripe as an Android user). It's a great service, but the streaming side is a little lacking.

Easy to install and configure. Sounds great. Two issues however with Raspberry Pi4 + Digione Signature : 'shutdown' function works strangely… only the ethernet leds go off, all the other leds stay on and the Volumio wheel is turning indefinitely. Sorting possibilities of music files are limited : no possibility to sort by 'album' inside a 'genre'.

Excellent! Easy set-up (compared to Moodeaudio). Just lacks support for a graphic equaliser. My room is less than perfect acoustically and I could do with a little sound shaping.

Most thinks work well out-of-the-box. Via plugins it is possible to add extra features which are well explained for an intermediate user. But the extra features for the paid plan don't fulfilled my needs so I'm a happy owner of the free plan. One star less because of the lack of bluetooth support (for Raspberry Pi) for headphones etc.

Makes my 1962 vintage tube radio fully functional. Great sound of the sixties with a deep bass📻🥳

I’m buiding active speakers and i use Volumio in my mancave as music streamer (Rpi), but also plan to put a streaming Rpi in my active speakers. Volumio works reliable on my PC, ipad and iphone. I still have issues with my Spotify plugin, also posted in the Volumio community, but no solution yet. Maybe i will give Moode a try.

Great product, Raspberry pi 1b, usb output to SMSL500 DAC. The 1b is lacking in performance, need to upgrade to a 3B with a Digi one HAT.

It's a great app. I'm running it on a Pi 2b with an allo BOSS v1.2 hat. It would be nice if there was a plug-in that would allow me to listen to Amazon Prime normal (not HD) music since I'm already an Amazon Prime member.

Decided to try the Volumio Primo Hifi Edition and compare it to my Bluesound Node 2. After a week with it I will be selling my Node 2. It just has more clarity and soundstage than the Node 2. It is also more customizable than the Node 2. Paired with a good dac and it sounds fantastic. I would have given it 5 stars but the set up is a nit confusing. Overall I am very happy with the Volumio Primo Hifi Edition. Highly recommended!!
