“Stayed in escape pod in February with my wife, 2 kids and two dogs, enough room , really comfy, very warm and no complaints here ! Nice walks for dogs, pool for kids , seaside very close, showers very spacious and clean . 100% would come again and will 👍👍”

“The cabin was nice, clean and had everything we needed, and enjoyed the views, great location to take the dog to the beach, only gripes were we were disappointed how overlooked the hot tub was..didn’t like being on show to everyone, , the inn was nice but food not great, the first night the lady who served us was lovely, the chap on the second was not helpful, in the cabin it said there was other toppings for the jkt spud but when I ordered macaroni cheese for my son and asked if I can pay extra And have it on mine, he said probably not ? I am allergic to fish so just wanted something different to cheese and beans ?”

“We had a fantastic weekend despite the stormy weather! My other half even completely surprised me by proposing after 17 years and 4 kids together! We loved the hot tub and the swimming pool which allowed our youngest to practice her swimming without being swamped by lots of people. We booked last minute after stumbling across the site by chance but we will definitely be back again and have already recommended the site to friends and family.”

“We stayed one night with our tourer and used the pool facilities as well as the Inn for Sunday lunch. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and may return.”

“Just returned from great weekend with the family. Fantastic lodge with amazing hot tub and despite force gale winds we had a very relaxing weekend. The lodge was extremely comfortable for the six of us with plenty of space and was very warm and cosy. Lovely to be able to watch the wildlife across the marshes from the lodge and balcony”

“Not a lot to do for family’s. Pub has poor quality food and an out of date kids arcade area that would rather chew up your coins than give out decent prizes. Eddies secret garden is not even worth a visit!! Poorly kept. On site shop is well priced but wouldn’t bother going in there... nothing there and no staff in sight!”

“Cabin was a bit tired looking and not cleaned very well compared to some of the others we have stayed in over the past few years. Location was lovely and the view over the marshes from the hot tub was really nice.”

“It was our first time visiting and all I can say is wow everything in the property was amazing it was my 40th bday and we are all full time carers to our disabled children and just needed to relax we are really excited to be coming back in 2021”

“Very warm and welcoming. There were cobwebs and dust hidden in the corners but the majority of the lodge was very clean. The ramp to the lodge was very slippery in the wet and my partner actually fell over on it in the morning.”

“Loved the setting, toilets were clean. Touring pitches Ok, but a little cramped if we had needed to put up an awning.Pool was very good with the Jacuzzi great on a cold day.”

“Very clean hotel, good breakfast included if booked directly, and the staff are all nice and smiley. The girl at the bar deserves recognition, always cheerful and polite, excellent customer service skills. If hotel was on the other side of the river, closer to the sea, it would have been a dream location.”

“Wonderful natural environment - saw 3 barn owls up close, muntjac and kestrels even from The Waveney Inn. lovely and peaceful this time of year but touring site smaller than I imagined and would think it gets very busy at peak times. Will visit again but in offseason.”
