Absolutely loved the setting, so quite and peaceful! The view having our breakfast every morning is one I’m going to miss the most! And the wildlife was fascinating!

Very quiet site, the weather was very good when we stayed so we enjoyed walking with our dogs, the Inn is great and quick service and close, everything you need is right there including the shop. The pool was a delight, very nice,

We have a camped a couple of times in the past few years there now. The yurt, play park, swimming indoors and the river to kayak. It was quiet and relaxing. The camping toilets and washing up fasilities was clean. The play park can perhaps be upgraded so it is more level if possible as the slope can be dangerous, more play features for small children to play in and then also a bit more climbing etc features for the older ones. There is lots of space for this :-). A fence would also be good as it is difficult if you need to go to the yurt\tent and you cannot see your children. The shower facilities needs a bit of upgrading as well but not much, just new shower heads, taps etc as the blowers is still really good. The shower frames needs replacing perhaps as the glass is fine but the frames in some looks a bit bad. The tv in the swim area can perhaps be enabled for "freesports" channel so dads can watch the sport if needed for example the world cup football. That is a bit of wasted space and something can be done to make it more useful. The swimming pool was a bit cold on both days but the hot tub was very hot. I am not moaning just help in advising what is great and what can change as it is a really nice place to camp and I do advise people to go there. I would rather see it continue to be open in the future and we can go for a weekend than it is closed down as no-one advised or give honest opinions.

We asked to change our pitch when we arrived and this was done with no issues and no extra cost. Great People, we will be back again soon.

Excellent facilities, clean and tidy. Very impressed with every aspect of the camp site. Food was very good, and priced very reasonable. The only negative was not being told about the £100 noise deposit at time of booking. (Received an email 3 days before arrival)

Overall a well-kept site, although there was some rubbish in the grass/bushes at the rear/side of our pitch. The facilities on site were good and clean. The downside was that, having a motorhome, we couldn't use the freshwater tap with our hose as it was not a standard attachment and also having a press down release for the water proved a bit of a problem when trying to fill the watering can we had to buy to fill up. One downside was the £100 `security' money we had to pay via card, although perhaps a banking issue, the money was taken out of our account immediately and some four days after we left the site the money hasn't been refunded. I think this is unacceptable for the money to be taken in the first instant (rather a large sum) and I wasn't told that they money may take upto seven days to be repaid into our account - I have to say if I had known this prior to booking I would not have booked the site. Apart from that Waveney is in a lovely location on the river and a great ferry crossing and walk through lovely countryside.

Pitches too small booked a kingfisher super pitch which was not very well tended. In fact all the Caravan pitches looked very tired and neglected. The hedges really needed a good cut back. By the time I had put the Caravan on and put the awning up I had no room hardly to get round the Caravan to get to the toilet cassette to empty it and plug the electric in and connect up the waste pipes. yes I admit I have a 3mtre Awning but even with a standard 2.4mtre one there would have been no room to park your car out of the way of the view. the view was lovely but you couldn’t see it because your car was parked right in front so you didn’t get the benefit of the view. I was told I could park my car in the car park, which I did a couple of times, then I was told I was in the marina car park and could I move it to the main car park which was further away and I couldn’t see it from our pitch. I was told there was cctv on the site but the site is open anyone can come and go and in my opinion was not very secure. The site seems to cater more for motorhomes, pods, yurts, chalets and boats but saying all this it is a lovely position but was spoilt by the size of the pitch for us. Moving on to the Waverley Inn, it is quite expensive and the food wasn’t that great. Also dirty plates and glasses were left on all of the tables outside where a seagull had a fine time hopping on the tables eating the remnants of food. Clearly these should have been cleared immediately but they were not which spoilt our evening drink being surrounded with all of the debris. This is just our opinion and we would not return but we try all sites so try it for yourself and see what you think. Mr & mrs J Ellis

We felt that there was very little to do in the evening, no entertainment at all.

This was the second time we had been here last year we came and had a sick dog we lost My Mozart (Bernese mounting dog) two week after the holiday to prostate cancer. This made our holiday the worse we have ever had. This year I wanted to give my daughter a memorable holiday to remember not a heartbreaking one, and I did. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our holiday so much, the only sad thing was the end of the week when we had to come home.

lodges were clean and staff were helpful, lots to do and entertain yourself with. It was underdeveloped but in a year/two the whole area will have an atmosphere and be perfect for both couples and families.
