“Lovely rural location alongside river. Hotel room very comfortable, especially large queen size quality bed. Restaurant caters well for families and couples, with reasonably priced breakfast and main meal options, including specials. Staff friendly and helpful.”

“We booked to stay for a week from 16/06/2019 for 6 nights and on booking I explained that peace was essential for my husband the lady reassured us that Coot 1 would be perfect the 1st night and morning was lovely and I must say it is a very beautiful site the second night thunderstorms so no sleep but drifted off in the early morning only to be awoken at 7.30 by a workman offloading wood and calling his dog and shouting to other workmates then the 3rd night the people in the pitch above us seem to be very loud most of the night and in the morning once again with workmen banging in wooden posts with a metal object then the 5th night 2 boats in the Marina with a large crowd were very loud and swearing until 2am, then the 6th night our last night there was a few tents above us obviously a large group of families partied until 2 in the morning with most of the children playing on the rental boats which made me very nervous in case one of them fell in the water, so whilst the site is beautiful and staff are pleasant there is no control over noise levels, so for our peaceful week costing us £172 we had had an unpleasant stay and was extremely tired by the time we arrived home, with the thoughts that we would not want to visit again, may I suggest that a night warden be employed to help to control night time activity.”

“We’ve just stayed in The Ship’s Library for three nights. Beautiful clean room with lovely views, a massive cosy bed, complimentary toiletries and various teas, coffee, biscuits etc. Reception staff were lovely and very helpful. The food at The Waveney Inn was delicious and it’s very convenient for hotel guests! Would highly recommend staying here. Can’t wait to visit again!”

“Calm relaxing location, with friendly staff will definitely go back again. We’d book the farmhouse for our family and a motorhome pitch overlooking the river all was a great experience.”

“Fantastic boat. Very clean and brilliantly laid out. Linen was fresh, kitchen spotless and the sunsets spectacular! Really wonderful break. You were very responsive when we had a problem (which when it turned out to be our fault were very understanding!) Could not recommend more. Thankyou!”

“Just returned from a wonderful long weekend at WRC. 10 of us, we hired two lodges Mutford and Fritton. Loved the private hot tubs which were well maintained and enjoyed kayaking too. The lodges particularly Fritton were spacious, well equipped and in a great location. All ground staff and reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Lovely walks and fun to use the turnpike ferry. Only used the pool once as we were so lucky with the weather - just wanted to be outside! Will def book to come again”

“Wonderful location on the river. Roads leading to the site could be wider for motorhomes and towing vehicles. Touring pitches need some attention we had to move but did get one with water tap which is a bonus as the fresh water tap has a square head unsuitable for hose attachments. Boat hire was great and had food and drink in the pub which was good but a bit pricey.”

“Accommodation perfect, although price excessive, next door paid £320 for 4 days? Staff really nice, no problem at all. Food very nice every time. Only problem which will stop us returning is access. The road is incredibly difficult. If you had some passing places on the last mile this would help. We had three cases where we had to reverse along single track , some very awkward drivers who would not even try to help. Worst part was on our way home. We had driven a few hundred yards, and six cars were coming into Waveney. Very difficult to reverse back along single track, much stress for us, very very rude drivers coming into Waveney. If you could get the council to insert some decent passing places we would come back, if not, we will not be back. Thanks. Ken Marshall”

“Lovely spot but kingfisher pitches are very scruffy and had dog dirt on ours. These pitches need to be tidied up and more grassed area. Good showers and toilets but could get noisy at times. Would come again though.”

“It was our second visit and the Facilities was spotless again Credit to the cleaners The staff in the reception where very helpful when we had a slight issues with the pitches on arrival The staff assisting with the activities we did where extremely helpful All in all a very recommendable place to tell people to visit”

“Staff very friendly and efficient. Food was good and plentiful for a very resonable price with plenty of gluten free options. Our room was large and nicely decorated eith a big 2dh suite. Only downside was it was very noisy when people were walking along corridor.”

“Nice lodge well equiped with good quality furnishings. However the door locks need attention and some usable coat hangers in each room would help. The kettle is dangerous! Tooth mugs in the bathrooms would have been nice. The lodges are sited very close together the approach in the park to the lodge is via a poor gravelled badly potholed road. The swimming pool is good but changing facilities badly maintained. The pool table and the rest of that area was not in use and looked appalling. Cannot comment on the hot tub as we did not use it. The biggest drawback is the actual access to the park which I would not recommend to anyone. The single track distance is to long and Thursday evening your timing has to be good or there is a lot of backing up to be done.”
