Loved it, lovely relaxing peaceful setting. Stunning view over the marshes. Not that we needed 6 chairs as there were five of us. But the lodge sleeps 8 yet there are only 4 chairs at the dinner table and 4 on the terrace Would definitely return. Please do send any special offers to me. Many thanks

Excellent location. The staff were all very helpful. The lodge was spacious, spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The food and hospitality at the Waveney River Inn was superb. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would recommend the Waveney River Centre to everyone!

We took a short family holiday at WRC and had a lovely time. The accommodation was great and we had a wonderful stay in this very peaceful and beautiful resort.

Beautiful place, accommodation very nice and clean. Just wish the hot tubs were slightly better located in relation to the lodge. Would go back and plan to do so

A lovely site, we had hard standing for our caravan with services , water, waste water , toilets etc. nearby. Staff are very friendly & helpful, a slight downside is that the Waveney Inn's menu is limited but quite a lot of people were barbecuing so hard to plan I suppose. All in all The Waveney River Centre was a good experience for us. Les & Beryl Hill, Wigan.

The actual centre and facilities were great for us and what we wanted. However, I do feel that for self catering accommodation the lodge was lacking on equipment to cook for yourself and not everyone can afford to eat out all the time. There was no tumbler or pint glasses if you wanted a drink indoors and I had to ask for a bottle opener. I think you need to make clear which lodges have pets in them as I am allergic to cat/dog hair and needed to take antihistamines during my stay even though the lodge appeared clean . The lodges are a little bit dated (furniture) but comfortable.

First class accommodation! Lovely quiet location with good restaurant and access to the river Waveney. Downsides - very poor wifi /data due to remote location. Lodges / hot tubs are not particularly private.

This was our third stay at the Waveney Hotel The room was comfortable but we thought it is very `penny pinching` to not have toiletries in the room although it is stated in both your literature & on the web site that complementary toiletries are offered The service at breakfast was not g And when we asked how long we would have to wait we were told that due to a system malfunction the order had not been placed although customers who arrived after us were served. All in all very poor service and it is obvious that more staff are required .

We had a lovely one night stay in a yurt. So comfy and easy, stylish and functional. All facilities were spotless, pool, toilets, showers etc. Liked the thoughtfulness of having a freezer where you can refreeze your own cooler-box blocks. We didn't eat at the pub but enjoyed a game of pool and a drink. Big thumbs up all round!

We had a brilliant break. All the staff were amazing, friendly, approachable and professional. Loved meeting Wilson, Jane and Graeme’s dog fabulous addition to the team, made it really feel family friendly. We would’ve stayed another night or two, but for the extremely selfish large party who arrived on the Friday night, only quietening down around 2am. The porter had told them several times to keep it down, but there was not much else he could do. Hopefully they won’t be repeat customers at the centre. Pity it meant loss of income as we were not the only guests who would’ve stayed longer, but couldn’t have another sleepless night. Please know that you have by far the best tram at Waveney River Centre and you should feel proud of the hospitality they extend to your guests. Kind Regards Greg and Debbie Niccol

We recently stayed at the Waveney River Centre and I can't say we were enthralled by our stay. The location of the park is lovely and in a really idyllic part of Norfolk. The accommodation is adequate and the addition of a hot tub and a super king-size bed a nice touch. There are some other nice touches to the lodge as well like the roll top Bath and the walk in shower. Unfortunately there are some of the finer details missing. There was a lack of cooking untesils and equipment. We had to buy some bigger glasses and baking trays as there wasn't any. On arrival we had 2 saucepans, these were both ruined. A quick phonecall to reception and this was rectified so that's a plus. The cleanliness of the lodge wasnt great. There was cobwebs in most rooms, popcorn down the back of the sofa cushions and bits of a razor behind one of the sinks in the bathroom. There was other bits that my wife noticed too that just pointed towards a lack of general cleanliness smeary mirrors etc. There appeared to be a problem with the water in our lodge as the water kept running yellow in the bathroom. It rectified itself if you left the tap running but this is something that definitely needs looking at. We were also at the end of the park, they are due to start phase 4 of the park soon. Currently this is a dumping ground for old mattresses, fridges etc it has been fenced off but you still know its there so not the most ideal neighbour. Also at the end there is a large nest of small wasp like insects, again not ideal. The accommodation was very warm, I know there's not much you can do about this but some fans or air con would be nice. A few of the days we were there a local farmer had done some muck spreading which created a awful stench not your fault I know but our choices were sweat out with all the windows and doors shut or suffer the stench and the constant attack of mosquitoes. On our last day at the park (Thursday) we went to use the pool at around 1600 like we had most days only to be told that we couldn't use the pool as it had been booked. I understand that in the off peak season you need to make extra revenue but there was no information that we were aware of that said when swimming lessons were on and also as paying customers don't expect to be told we can't use the facilities. Also the changing facilities in the pool are lacking. One family changing room between a whole camp is poor, the changing table for babies is knee height, not fun when your 6ft 5in and your 7 month old baby has just discovered the joy of rolling and wiggling. Also the light in the room is constantly flickering, probably not ideal if your epileptic. Unfortunately the above slightly put a dampener on our holiday and we won't be coming back in the future.

Leaving time from the cabin is far to early , especially as we were not allowed into the cabin to 16.00 on Monday this way we loose all must a day of our holiday.
