Compact campsite with lots of facilities. The pod and tent pitches are really close together so privacy and peace and quiet are limited. Really friendly staff, Showers, toilets and washing up facilities are spotless.

Really enjoyed our holiday at the Waveney river center. Very comfortable lodge. Didn’t give 5stars as some areas such as swimming pool could do with a upgrade. But otherwise was fab and would recommend

Loved the scenery/setting. Perfect tranquility. Stayed in a pod very suitable for our needs with our collie dog. Happy that our dog could go with us into the Waveney Inn. Staff lovely and very caring. Fish and chips amazing otherwise other food adequate, probably could do with more choice for cold meals or cakes, desserts etc Loved this site and will definitely be coming again.

The center was just as described on the web site. All the staff, in all areas were very pleasant and helpfull. The room at the Waverley Inn was large and well equipped, quiet and had super views. When we booked, we didn’t fully understand just how isolated the center actually is, so while we wanted to spend some time boating, we also wanted to explore the surrounding area of Norfolk. This meant the the worry of meeting other cars at night and facing a long reverse in the dark which would have spoilt a night out - in fact this never happened. The food in the the Waverley Inn was really very good but the room lacks atmosphere due to the choice of furniture and decoration, but that is just a personal opinion.

First class facilities. Best I have experienced in many years of touring. Mop in showers needed especially in pool area.

Nice location & good facilities. Showers/toilets in the swimming pool could do with cleaning & maintenance (missing door locks, etc).

Great site but some confusion on arrival as only advised pitch number 3 and after taking some time to set up advised we we in Kingfisher 3 as printed on a sticker on our camp map. Unfortunately not referred to or pointed out by reception staff and so not noted until afterwards!

This is our 5th visit and the first time we have come away disappointed with our stay. We booked leam lodge after reading it was new for 2017. Having stayed in 4 other lodges previously we was disappointed with the dated decor and what felt like a lot smaller living area. We assumed with it being new and prime location on the marsh it would have the same layout and decoration as Marsh view and riverside. We also found the hot tub to be over 40 degrees and at times to hot to use despite trying to turn it down. The swimming pool area was dirty and the and the water was very foggy. We also witnessed on two occasions people leaning on the fencing between the Car park and park and nearly taking a nasty full as all the fencing was unstable and leaning over. The pub area was always clean however the old 2p machines could do with an update and the battered old sofe really needs to be removed. We love Waveney river centre and for our family it's out happy place but we did come away for the first time ever feeling disappointed. We also had friends with us who hadn't been before and after listening to us rate the place so highly was a let down that their first experience wasn't as great as ours had been in the past.

Had a very enjoyable stay, the only negative was pitches are very close together and loud music could be heard from the camper van next to us, when we were trying to sleep!

Lovely setting, food at the Waveney inn was superb. Few things wrong with accommodation but were fixed very quickly. Only negative thing was there were lots of hornets (huge) especially at night when we wanted to use the hot tub (although not a lot could be done about this) but did stop us from using hot tub and sitting outside as much as we would have liked to.

Just returned from a two night stay with the family in a Yurt. The facilities at the site are great and most of the staff are helpful and friendly ( my wife found one of the male bar staff very abrupt and rude while trying to book a table for dinner). We ate at the onsite pub/restaurant on both evenings and found the food to be reasonable, good sized portions for the kids meals. I would recommend staying here to anyone and will definitely be returning in the future.

Great two day trip with nephew and niece using one of the Escape Pods. Great facilities with the swimming pool and the playground which they loved and the ever handy shop. We alos hired a day boat (Pilot Type) for our second day and had a brilliant time. Obviosuly we;ll maintained and cleaned they were very impressed at being captians of their own ship for a day! Only slight critiscm is that all the boat hires end at 5pm, so when arriving back we thought we'd grab 'tea' at the Waveny Inn only to find out they don't start serving intil 6pm. That hours gap almost seems like you are missing a group of people who may well be wanting food a little earlier>

Well equipped spacious lodge, lovely hot tub. Boat hire was really good, children loved the pool on site. Minor gripes; please provide an electric kettle (as boiling a kettle on the gas job is dangerous) and softer lighting in lodges. Would recommend this holiday for families of all ages.

It's a great place to stay the only 2 negative points are access to lodges is not easy for wheelchair users and the checkout time of 9.30am is too early. An 11am checkout time would be more suitable.

Booked a Kingfisher Super Pitch for 9 nights in August, we were 2 adults, 1 child (3 years) and 2 dogs. We arrived at 12:00 and were shown straight to our pitch (no.7). Our impression of the pitch was that it was 'rustic' and needs some TLC. There is matting under the pebble hardstanding which needs attention as it was a bit of a trip hazard as it was raised in lots of areas. The bushes around the pitch were a little overgrown which limited the space for us to sit next to our awning. Off the pitch though we really enjoyed going swimming every day and the play park was great for our granddaughter. Went to the Waveney Inn every night for an icecream for our grandaugthter and the staff really made a fuss of her. Shop of site was well stocked and reasonably priced. Hired a boat for the afternoon and went to Somerleyton and Oulton Broad, expensive but enjoyable and ultimately we knew the price before we booked. All staff we encountered were friendly and we have booked again for next year.

Great for the family, lots to do and super facilities. Lovely pool, play area, and walks. We hired a boat which was a great way to see the local area. My only reservation would be the pub. While we were there we saw a member of the kitchen staff shouting at a family with 2 small children (one of which was having their birthday), in the middle of the pub. Both children left crying holding the birthday cake unopened. Don't know the details but I am sure it could have been dealt with in a more civil manner. Food was OK, usual pub grub.
