“Lovely accommodation and facilities on site. Definitely had all the things you needed for a short or long stay. The only downside is the restrictions on using the hottub in the evenings there should be some signs up to specify ‘appropriate times’.”

“We have come back from booking a weekend away at the Waveney River Centre, this is the first time we have booked a lodge at this place and must say it was the perfect weekend away after COVID restrictions were lifted very happy with my booking! The lodge was clean and comfortable, beautiful views and the hot tub was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The staff were very welcoming, we will be booking again very soon!”

“Friendly and welcoming staff. Accommodation clean and all necessary accessories in place. Quiet with good walks from the Centre especially across the ferry. Pub has good beer and cider on tap.”

“Perfect stay for mine and my partners first break away! Only couple of points! Toilet broke during our stay so my partner fixed it as the handyman couldn’t, also the boiler banged quite a bit, feathered pillows would of been lovely! But everything was just lovely the food at the inn was lovely and such good value for money, receptionist were really helpful and friendly we would love to come back”

“Quick and easy check-in, great lodge which was very clean and had everything we needed (with lovely little welcome package which was a nice touch). We loved our stay and what a lovely part of the country. Lovely views, lovely staff who were polite snd friendly. We used the takeaway delivery service which was super easy, arrived quickly and was really tasty. Thank you, we will be back. ❤️”

“Had a lovely mid week break. We stayed at the waterside lodge which had amazing views. The lodge and site are very clean and well cared for. Loved the welcome gifts also! The only small minus was that the ferry to the nature reserve was out of service all week and it takes around half hour to drive to it instead of the 2 min ferry ride. We also hired a boat for the day. We will definitely be back for another visit.”

“A real gem of the boards. We stayed 7 nights in the Marsh View lodge. Incredible break away and would certainly recommend. Hand sanitisers across the site. Friendly staff, hot tub maintained daily features in lodge perfect, views breathtaking ! The list goes on! We ate a few times in the restaurant which was wonderful, outside dining chilly on some days ( mid April),but can’t be helped. Staff extremely helpful and polite. Food great. We have a 4 year old who loved the on-site park. Really liked the on-site recycling facilities as this is something we do a lot of at home. The only aspect I would suggest needs a bit more attention, was the cleaning. Asking customers to check out by 9.30am and check in from 5pm is understandable however I found a pair of socks left from the previous visitors and the cheese grater with cheese along the front. So perhaps the 7.5 hours between customers isn’t used as thoroughly as I thought. It’s not the end of the world and didn’t get us down! Would return! Thank you for a fab stay!”

“had a superpitch pitch no 6 could not connect to the waste as it was located uphill near the power and water point all other pitches the waste was located in the middle of the pitch other than that we enjoyed the site”

“Stayed at Barn Owl, which is a beautiful lodge overlooking the marsh. The lodge is very comfortable and very well equipped (I feel it would benefit from having an outdoor shower by the hot tub). Will definitely look at returning!”

“Have live in Lowestoft for over 50 years yet never discovered this place. Needed a local short break. Fantastic lodge and hot tub. Only issue is light outside lodge that comes on shines too bright into main bedroom even with curtains drawn. Need thicker curtains.”

“Beautiful spacious immaculately clean and well equipped lodges in a peaceful location. Very relaxing to sit on your veranda or in the hot tub taking in the beautiful views. Lovely to be away and feel COVID safe. If you visit the Waveney Inn the staff and food are both equally lovely too.”

“We had a fantastic stay here on the first week of opening after lock down. The lodge was beautiful and very clean. The site was very tidy, plenty of hand sanitiser available and the staff were extremely helpful, welcoming and approachable. The site location was great with plenty of walks nearby and only a short drive to the coast and nearby attractions. I would highly recommend Waveney River Centre and will hopefully be visiting again in the future.”

“My sisters, their families and I had a really lovely 4 day break, the lodge was great and equipped with everything we needed. We all loved the hot tub! The staff at Waveney River Centre were brilliant nothing was too much trouble. Special shout outs for Sue, Andrew and Liam. Hiring a day boat from the centre was a great way to spend a day Thank you all We will be back for sure 😊🛥😊”

“Had a lovely stay in one of the lodges. Such a great little quiet backwater for relaxation. A trip up the river on a boat is also well worth the time. Lots of wildlife to see, lots of birds including Marsh Harriers, hares and muntjac deer .”
