On arrival to our so called super pitch, we were dismayed to find that we could only just fit our touring van and awning on the pebble surfaced pitch. No room for the car which we had to park in front of the pitch, and had to stare at for two weeks. No room for chairs and tables either. Also when we tried to connect grey waste outlet on this ‘superpitch’ We found that the drain was actually higher than the outlet on our van! Water does not flow uphill... We paid £440 for two weeks on this pitch, plus £50 for a trail and sail berth for our Avon boat, plus 26 quid for a Broads river licence. Might have been cheaper to go to France.... The staff were pretty oblivious to any complaint we made regarding grey water drainage on the so called superpitch. We have visited much superior sites than this. They don’t even have a service area for motor homes. Would never visit this place again.

Great staff and clean facilities. Only 1 issue, the kingfisher pitches really need the hedges cutting lower and trimmed back.

Lound lodge was a shambles! Falling apart and we had to ask for the stuff that was advertised. Mould on the bath. Hot tub falling apart. And compared to others it was a state! The staff where lovely as was the pub but for what we paid was very very disappointed and will be putting it on TripAdvisor etc so others don't make the same mistake

We enjoyed our brief stay. Two issues noted for your consideration. Climbing the stairs is something of a challenge to the 'less mobile' residents. Secondly, it is rather tedious to pay at each visit to the bar. Why not allow for for the total bill- including food, payable, at the one final visit to the bar- or even better, at the dining table ?

Lovely setting, only fault I could find was that shop only held very limited supplies, so we had to get Asda to deliver essentials

we stayed a couple of nights in a yurt, which was extremely comfortable. The site is very peaceful & calm. The staff are very polite and helpful. Food at the Inn on site is fine, Pub grub & family orientated.

Overall okay stay apart from when we attempted to use the swimming pool, at no point at check in or in the literature received did it say you had to book a time slot for the pool, tried to use it with two young kids only to be turned away as according to the man at the desk you had to book a slot and currently the pool was at capacity according to him of 25,on counting I could see 11 people within the pool and this was the last time slot for the day according to the man, however two hours later on passing the pool, different people were using the facility. Obviously a case of I'd your face fits your aloud admission. Surely if this is the case, reception should be informing visitors of this on check-in.

A great combination of location and facilities with friendly and helpful staff. The variety of camping / glamping options is great. The swimming pool and marshland walks help add great diversions. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a great stay, and it's a lovely location. We were very pleased with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, including the person who amended our telephone booking so that we didn't have to shift to a different campsite on the second night. Clean loos and good camping facilities for us, our dog and our little VW camper. The one gripe that we did have was with the day hire on the river, which we booked with friends who were staying in the inn. We were late being sent off, nearly half an hour waiting around, which made the warnings about dire financial penalties for being even a few minutes late seem really unfair. The boat was OK and we all took turns at the helm. Some of the controls and markings were worn and hard to read and it took most of the journey there and back before we realised the water pump had been switched off, and that if we disobeyed the warning not to touch the switches we had water for coffee and washing up. A few basic supplies of coffee and tea would have been nice - we did bring our own. I don't want to detract from the friendliness of everyone - they were all great, and they did listen to our suggestions for improvement. Overall we felt like we paid a fair price for the site, that the meal at the inn was passable, the hospitality was great but we didn't quite get the experience and value for money we were expecting for the boat hire itself. And it rained on the way back from Reedham, but we can't pin that one on Waveney River Centre, although it would be nice to have had a windscreen wiper that wiped. PS site and boats are dog friendly - the restaurant as well - but the rooms in the inn are not. What's that about?

Lovely area. Very dog and child friendly. The hotel room at the Waveney Inn was superb. Pool really nice and very quiet in school term time. Parking spaces rather limited at weekend.

The centre is great in itself. The pub serves fantastic food and all the waitresses are lovely. The lodge was very clean and tidy and hot tub was amazing. We have stayed in lodges before and this one was a little tired compared those. Not as luxury as we thought but still good. Having said that we had a great weekend, so peaceful and relaxed. We would go back again.

We booked a Kingfisher Super Touring Pitch and were allocated pitch 7, which was perfect. The integrated shower and toilet into a private space was excellent and kept spotlessly clean. We used the pub for food and on both occasions we were very pleased with both portion size and the use of fresh ingredients. Needless to say we will be coming back!

It's an ok camping spot, but not glamping. Although therooms are expensive for what they are.

We stayed in the Oulton penthouse last week. We had stayed in the Carlton 3 years ago & were really impressed, but this time the apartment was far from clean, the carpets in particular are horribly stained throughout, and the bathroom floors and bottom of the shower cubicle were dirty & mouldy. There was a blood stain on the curtain in the lounge and the coffee table was very sticky to the touch. Clearly nothing had been cleaned properly for months. Last time we had an impressive welcome pack with bread, marmalade, cake, milk, this time was much more meagre. The staff were surly on the whole, twice we asked for help closing the sliding doors in the apartment, both our requests were ignored, so we had to go out leaving the apartment unsecured. The restaurant menu has dumbed down since we were last there too, with fewer fresh ingredients and no waitress service to take your order anymore. We particularly remembered the fish platter which is no longer available. To top it all we had en extremely loud party of all girls downstairs at the weekend who had loud music & shrieked a lot. We couldn’t even watch TV to distract ourselves as there was literally no signal those 2 nights! The kitchen seemed less well appointed too - there was no strainer/ colander to drain rice or veg or to wash fruit and one saucepan was so dirty we didn’t even try to clean it & use it, as was the washing up bowl & drainer. All in all, we were very disappointed after having had such a good experience last time. The whole apartment including the balcony needs a thorough deep clean. Before you build any more lodges on site, perhaps you should look after the accommodation you already have. I hope this review will be helpful to you. l’m afraid we have been put off returning again.
