“Dated lodge things need to be renewed not the cleanest place we have ever stayed Staff pub pool location all lovely, just let down with our lodge”

“Amazing lodge - super luxury in every way and we loved all the space and lovely clean, light furnishings at Christmas time - the tree was a nice touch. The hot tub was amazing and our family of five with kids and grandmother was a resounding success. Thank you”

“Lovely location, excellent facilities. Showers brilliant - underfloor heating was lovely! The only disappointing feature was the booking process only allowed us to book and pay for 3 nights, when we only actually needed 2. Ended up paying for 3 and staying for 2 so slightly more expensive than other sites but obviously limited choices due to the time of year.”

“Beautiful tranquil setting. We visited it at a very quiet time. Welcomed to our fully equipped lodge with a Christmas tree. Clean, working hot tub though temperature could have been hotter, it’s set at 37 degrees. Would have liked a radio in the lodge. Chef very accommodating to my daughters request when we had a meal there. Enjoyed an outside bar- b-q! Would recommend for relaxation and chill, need to drive if wanting to visit places as very isolated. We did walk to the pretty church in the village.”

“Great place, lovely Lodge and hot tub, the Christmas tree and buck's fizz when arrived just topped it off. Hopefully return next year and would recommend for quiet break, just before the Christmas rush especially!”

“Beautiful lodge equipped with everything very home from home on arrival there was a lovely Welcome pack with essentials in .stunning views close to wildlife .food at restaurant was lovely and staff very helpful kids loved the pool .we stayed in the leam lodge and have already booked again can’t wait to return highly recommend”

“When we arrived the reception from e receptionist was just perfect ...happy smiling etc....so thank you ladies The lodge spa 4 with hot tub.....exceeded all of our expectations Just completely well kitted out with very modern furniture Two rooms had en suite and then a family bathroom”

“The lodge had a marvellous view across the marshes. Sleeping 6 was a bit tight and I wouldn’t have wanted to be there more than a few days as hardly anywhere to put your clothes due to the size of the room. At least one of the rooms would probably be better with bunk beds. Kitchen and living/dining room are perfect. The literature says that if you call the turnpike ferry someone will take you across the water, we tried that only to get a message to say that the Waveney River Centre reception was shut until next year (reception was actually open later). We had intended to walk along the river wall so we’re very disappointed not to be able to do the planned walk. Despite that we had a good stay and would certainly recommend you.”

“Really enjoyed our annual family get together. Spacious accommodation in Staithe spa nice hot tub and all to a high spec. We made use of the pool and the Waveney Inn. Food was good. Only negatives would be some toiletries in en-suites would be appreciated, sofas had seen better days they were saggy, bigger drinking glasses for beer etc. Other than that all was good and we have rebooked first Dec 2020”

“Well , what can I write, it’s a great place if you just want to relax, as we did this time around . Lots of wildlife to watch , brilliant restaurant and bar , Accommodation is fantastic, it’s our 7th visit this time . Shall book again ready for next year already . Enjoy.😎”

“Good mooring and campsite on river waveney. Facilities very good and clean. Pub on site with good meals too. Swimming pool also available on site.”

“Lodge was nice, good temperature, clean. Bathroom very small. We found the atmoshere in the restaurant cheap, poor, not acceptable to pay for your drink and before you get it.”
