We had everything we needed in our Loddon lodge, great accommodation with a nice view across the marshes. Lodge was clean and spacious, and the hot tub was lovely. Staff were all friendly and helpful, and as a large family group we had a very tasty breakfast at the Waveney Inn. We will be returning!

The grounds itself are lovely. Staff are wonderful. Lodge sadly wasn’t very clean, we found condom wrappers in the bedroom, unclean floor, hairs in the bathroom. The tv in bedroom was very small and only had radio on. Dressing table chair was very weak. Boiler stopped working in the evening so we woke up freezing and with cold water. We reset it and fixed it so luckily it didn’t take long to come back on. Hot tub was nice, couldn’t use it first night as needed to warm up. The headrests in hot tub were very worn and one was missing so couldn’t use one side. Very expensive for what we experienced.

Fantastic facilities, lovely spot by the river. Would be nice if campervans could have some hard standing as it rained heavily and the pitch went muddy very quickly so struggled to get off the pitch. Apart from that a lovely spot for a weekend.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Facilities are clean, the pool was clean and warm, spacious parking. Lots of things to do, kids will not be bored. We are already thinking about our next booking!

This was our 3rd time staying at Waveney and we enjoyed every minute. Beautiful location and even when busy still feels peaceful. Having stayed previously in Ellingham the only comment would be that although comfortable Bungay would benefit from alittle updating

A really great short break. The yurt was lovely. Nice and warm and cosy when we arrived at just after 8pm. All the cleaning and washing facilities were good. Nice underfloor heating in the showers. We were disappointed the Waveney inn were only doing continental breakfasts at that time. So we went elsewhere for a cooked breakfast.

We hired a 4 bed lodge with hot tub for four adults and 2 children. 4/5 start accomodation except that the shared bathroom leaked and was out of action. Once reported they acted very promptly and were apologetic. The centre itself was lovely, great for families. We hired a boat and went to Beccles for lunch. The staff in all areas were all very friendly, couteous and helpful. That makes a big difference and made for an enjoyable stay even with the bathroom issue. We are planning to go again next year.

My wife myself and one other couple stayed for one night only. Although the centre seemed to be difficult for us to find (I think because of a local road diversion) we all thought that the Port and Starboard rooms were excellent. The bar staff were very pleasant friendly and helpful as was waitress in the morning at breakfast. All in all good all round service and value for money.

We had 2 lodges, they were very expensive for what they were. One of the toilets moved when you sat on it and there was insufficient toilet roll. You were not allowed into the lodges before 1700 and had to be vacated by 0930 (too early and the staff literally stood outside the lodges as we were saying goodbye to our family at that time) to allow for deep cleaning yet the radiator in the lounge of one lodge was filthy and the kitchen floor had definitely not been ‘deep cleaned’. The inn closed at various times despite website info and so unpredictable. It also only had continental breakfasts at weekends (cooked breakfasts started from Tuesday(?)) when most guests had gone home. The emails sent prior to arrival gave completely contradictory information to the staff on site. I would not hire a lodge from there again.

I booked a stay in the Captains room for my birthday. I read some very good reviews including how good breakfast was. When we arrived we were told they were only serving continental breakfast which was not stated when booking or on the website. The room was beautiful but we had no idea that the only pub/restaurant needed to be booked in advance. We went to book a table and were told the only table was at 16.45 way to early for dinner for us. So we took the long drive away from the area for dinner. Again I would like to say that the room was gorgeous amazing bed lovely bathroom. We went to have the continental breakfast the following morning. This consisted of a choice of rice crispies or crunchynut cornflakes toast on request some waffles that were hard like bricks and some segments of oranges. The coffee was filtered and had been sat around for hours stewing. The bread they used for the toast was extra value cheap bread. We left hungry. We were planning to take the ferry across to the nature reserve but instead we drive away to find breakfast else where. Very disappointed indeed.

Very helpful and friendly staff. A lovely site and facilities. I stayed in the hotel and my only criticism is that on teo nights I was unable to book a table at the restaurant. As the room does not have cooking facilities it made it a problem to find something to eat.

lovely place very quite a little out of the way if you dont have a car but it didnt matter to us . Very clean shower and toilet blocks . Didnt eat in the resturant but had drinks. Every member of staff we came in contact with from reception swimming pool bar staff and boat hire were excellant. Even a lovely lady who was cleaning a glamping pod and i asked her if I could have a look inside she was so helpful and friendly. Would visit again.
