Just got back from a weeks camping. All good! Waveney Inn hitting their target of feeding everyone on site- in house or eat out. Medal goes to Jonti who rowed us and other foot passengers across the river (and brought us back) safely and very professionally in a canoe when the electric ferry boat broke down on Sunday. Hats off to the waiting and kitchen staff at the Inn, keep smiling and ignore the minor moaners. Phil and Tania

Excellent properties and very close to river. Overall standard very good. A special mention to the girls working in the restaurant/ bar who were outstanding. Beautiful place to unwind. Will return soon.

The lodge we stayed in was way above expectations in terms of size and furnishings. The Waveney Inn was very good, altho' obviously under current covid circumstances it wasn't always possible to get a place to sit outside. Food was also excellent, tho one night there was clearly a staff shortage as we had to wait ages for it to arrive. Prices were on the high side and I would have been interested to see what the ham, egg and chips looked like for so much!! The steaks however were lovely. I was slightly disappointed not to be able to get online as you had to log in with another account such as facebook and I do not know my password by heart!! We would have liked a map to see local walking but took the ferry and walked to Oulton Broad one day and were disappointed the next day when it was out of action and felt we didnt know where else to go.

The lodge was lovely very modern and spacious, the hot tub was fabulous. Found the Waveney inn a bit dated and the menu was very very basic. Gin served in normal glasses - what’s happened to gin glasses?! Disappointed that check in times was 5pm and still had to wait for 20mins after that to get in the lodge. I had to call back to chase it up and with two dogs in the car on a hot evening after a long journey was frustrating. Would be good to have some map walks available of the local area. Overall was a pleasant stay and would come back again.

We had an enjoyable stay and the staff were really helpful the view from our tent was lovely. It would have been nice to have a bit longer to pack up thou 11.00 is a bit early luckily it was dry so we didn’t have to wait for anything to dry.

Lovely site with beautiful views of the boats on the river, facilities good with clean showers and toilets with underfloor heating, the pool looks very inviting but we didn’t actually use it, restaurant lovely with lovely staff. Would definitely recommend and will be booking again for next year. And I would recommend hiring a canoe 🛶 for a few hours on the beautiful river.

As always a great stay here. Couple of things though, we were on the top pitch in our motorhome, one in the reasons we come is for the view...all of the pitches to our left had caravans on and all of them parked their cars on the grass opposite...never seen that before so if that was discouraged would be better. Couple of really rowdy groups, one of which were still screaming at 2am this morning...you don't know who you book in so that's not your responsibility, but just marred it a bit this time.

Yurt was roomy, well furnished and good value for money. The food at the Waveney Inn was delicious and the delivery aspect is inspired! Food arrives hot delivered by a very polite, cheerful young man and there is plenty of it. Showers and toilets are clean and roomy. Only complaint is the limitations for buying groceries. There is a small amount in the ice cream kiosk but as the centre is 15 minutes drive from the nearest supermarket this could be better. I bought a pint of milk but noticed that the use by date was the next day. I took it back but the young man in the kiosk said that the man who delivered said it was fine and would be ok for a couple of days. However, by the next morning when I needed it it had gone off. Other than that all staff were helpful and pleased to help including the guys on the ferry.

The chart room was meant to have a river view. Whilst you could just see the river in the distance, the main view was of the recycling bins, workshop and tractor parked outside. Also, it was noisy in the mornings with people arriving for work and cars coming and going.

We stayed in the port room, lovely large bedroom, spotless. Huge bed. Bathroom/wet room with excellent powerful shower and large cubicle that even my 6’ 3” partner could shower with ease. Full English breakfast was excellent, waiting staff/reception staff and boating staff very efficient. Full marks to the waitresses in the Waveney inn, who were exceptionally busy due to extra COVID measures, they are a credit to your company. Boat hire also made easy.

Booked The Waveney Inn accommodation as a staycation option for my girlfriend's recent 50th Birthday whilst we were there. Stayed in the 'Engine Room' which was the only room left at time of booking and we knew that it was 2 x single beds but we told they would try to accommodate our request to merge the beds together. This wasn't actioned so we had to do it ourselves. The rooms are advertised as 'luxurious' which I wouldn't agree with especially as we paid nearly £100 a night? They are more like a Premier Inn without Air Conditioning, small fridge or shower toiletries ? It was clean and comfortable, carpet is looking a bit tired though? Again I wouldn't describe the shower room as luxurious but functional with a very good large shower head and excellent shaving mirror/light. Drinks choice in the Waveney Inn (Not what I call a pub?) was somewhat limited with only 1 draft lager being Amstel and no Baileys as we discovered. Staff there were very courteous and generally efficient especially Amy and Victor.

This is a great location for exploring the southern broads. We stayed on the Kingfisher motorhome pitches which were a good size. The facilities were great and very clean.

We have spent the last 4 nights in the Oulton Penthouse. Good accommodation in a great location with very friendly staff. 2 issues which may require action. The en -suite shower was very slow in draining and we had difficulty locking the doors onto the balcony. As we left before 9.00am this morning we could not discuss these with reception. Enjoyed our meal at the Waveney Inn. Thanks for a great time at your centre.

Bit disappointed this year we stayed in Beccles Lodge and it wasn't as clean as it was last July when we stayed. Also Waveney Inn we noticed that when the tables were cleared no sanitising was done as routine, only saw it done on 2 tables.
