Nice clean place. We stayed in a yurt .what was a very nice. Only thing did not like was that the tents opposite us was so close. Made getting the car out from the yurt very hard .lovely food in the pub ,and swimming pool was great fun.

Lovely Clean Lodge on arrival with little extras of bread, cake and marmalade. Our lodge was positioned nicely and hot tub positioned very private compared to some of the others however the hot tub was a bit of a let down due to the scum floating around and sticking to the sides from previous use making us feel too unclean to use it! Did speak to someone about it and was assured the filters & water had been changed prior to arrival but if that’s the case then their pipes must also need cleaning, apart from this we had a good few days stay here and even hired out a skipper which although was a bit run down still gave us a morning of fun.

This was our second stay at Waveney but our first in the hotel and I really can’t fault it. The room (Captain’s Cabin) was spotlessly clean and both spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was pure luxury and the toiletries, a nice touch. As always food was good in the pub - not the cheapest but very tasty. Hope to come back again soon!

Small scruffy pitches, for a large pitch I would expect to be able to park the car next to the caravan and not Infront obstructing the view. The unsupervised pool was constantly overtaken by kids bombing in, making it unusable for anyone else. The games room that's advertised was out of order for our 2 week stay. We were disappointed with having to pay £10 everytime to access the 90 something miles of riverbank walks you say are easily accessible. Showers need mops, especially with people using them for toilet and walking in dirt.

All the staff are very cheerful and helpful. But it is too crowded. I stayed in a Yurt for 2 nights and caravan in Heron for 4 nights., When staying in the Yurt it was difficult to turn my car next to the Yurt.. I damaged the door on the wooden platform - there was little room for a turning circle when pulling out. I believe that the tents opposite should be removed giving more room for "play" area. Also all one can see from these tents is other tents and cars, People told me that they would not return. Also once I moved to my caravan there was no room for my car AND the awning. I could also hear conversations in neighbouring caravans. Children were running straight from their caravan across the road to get to a space - no "play" area near their caravan. Other holiday parks have very sociable areas for families to play cricket. You need more space. I was very disappointed.. I've been a regular visitor to the Waveney River Centre for over the last twelve years. Please Stop cramming in sites, Remove the sites opposite the Yurts.

Many plus points, but particularly the indoor pool and the hot tub, plus the boys loved fishing off the marina. The day out on the boat was very pleasant too!

The site is very picturesque and in a lovely location. However, the pitches are very small for caravans with an awning, with very little space between the vans compared with other sites we have visited. We had booked a fully serviced pitch, but were disappointed to find that the 'grey waste' drain was so much higher than the pitch that the water didn't drain away. When we poured water down the kitchen sink, it came up in our shower!! Luckily we had our grey waste container with us so we were able to use that. We noticed, however, that our neighbour put his drainage pipe into the hedge. Furthermore, the television points didn't work - there was only one lead between the two caravans, but no reception on the television. However, we had an excellent picture from using our caravan aerial. The launderette housed two very old washing machines which, on at least two days, were both out of action. I hope this feedback is useful as all these issues could be sorted out. Finally, we were with members of the family for the week who were in tents - 15 of us in total - and we had a good time.

Lovely lodges but unfortunately they don’t mention that building work goes on during your holiday. We would have been very happy if they had asked the gardeners to stop working in front of our lodge but they wouldn’t so we were confined to the inside of our lodge all day for one day of our holiday. We couldn’t use the hot tub that day because our view would have been of men working on the grounds in front of our lodge all day.

We couldn’t fault our stay at Somerleyton Lodge, Waveney River Centre. The lodge was clean, well presented, exactly the same as the pictures we saw online and we had a great week away. The hot tub in particular was amazing - huge (must have been 6 berth and there were only 2 of us!) and it had lights! The only downside is that it is a little far away from anywhere - not an issue really but we said on a couple of occasions that it would’ve been nice to have been slightly closer to some of the quaint local pubs so we could just walk home after a couple of drinks. Would definitely go again though!

After a bad start with the booking process, once we arrived the site was brilliant - small but very clean and orderly. The loos and showers were clean, the kids park was central and well kept. The pub served a lovely meal and the setting is gorgeous. Please note however that kids under 15 are not allowed in the pool without an adult IN the pool with them. This wasn't made clear to me before I arrived to drop my teenagers off to swim whilst I set up camp.

We really liked this holiday park. All I would say is the cleanliness of lodge could be a bit better as when we moved the coffee table it hadn’t been hoovered/mopped which then made me wonder about other things 🙈 Pub was great on site for quick meals to feed my son after a busy day out & all staff friendly & helpful

Haddiscoe is a lovely lodge with beautiful views across open fields with an array of wildlife to observe. An excellent food at the onsite pub. Great facilities. Canoes and a day boat a must. Would have appreciated either an earlier arrival time or later departure time but that is all I would alter. The fabulous arrival pack was a lovely touch and the bread was delicious. Thanks to your team their efforts are all worthwhile for a fabulous holiday experience.

Check in: total chaos in the bar due to an idiotic decision to close reception at the time when everyone checks in. Bar staff doing their best to be helpful Room much too hot and no means of controlling temperature. Lavatory cistern overflow fault. Truculent elderly member of staff at morning reception

It was a lovely spot, we pitched a tent and we loved the view and peaceful surroundings. We were disappointed by the cleanliness of the facilities and changing rooms at the pool. A large communal toilet/shower block works better than cramped smaller ones when you're going in with children. The pub was lovely and we had fun getting lost in the maize maze!
