Lovely stay in Harleston Lodge, nice and quiet in a tranquil spot. The lodge was very clean and well equipped. Just missed the odd essentials such as oven gloves. Everything was new and in great condition. The hot tub was a big bonus, very relaxing with a lovely view. Great that it was checked everyday for hygiene purposes. Would have been handy to have instructions on how to open the lid as opposed to just a ‘dos and don’ts’ guide. Thought the park had great amenities and love the eco-friendly ethos behind it. My only objection is the check-out time of 9.30am. This is rather early and I don’t feel it would make much difference to the usual check out time of 10am but would make a difference to guests. That aside, a lovely, relaxing stay and thank you for the welcome goodies!

After staying in Marshview before we were very disappointed in Chedgrave. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. One of the sofas was ripped in several places. We thought the overall standard of accommodation had totally dropped since our last stay. Even the outside of the lodge could of done with tidying up. Getting to the hot tub was a pain as there is a gap of shingle between the end of the verandah and the hot tub. It would be ok if it was not raining but taking shoes out with you meant they got wet sitting there. I'm sorry that I have left this review but feel that our experience of our earlier stay has been clouded by this time. We actually left on the Sunday as we didn't feel like we wanted to stay another night. We even found our breakfast experience at the waveney inn was a let down. The breakfast came out quickly but was lukewarm, bacon overcooked and mushrooms cooked so much they had just shrivelled up. After this meal we actually drove to a Macdonald's for our dinner.

All the staff we met were helpful and very friendly. The hotel room was very spacious and comfortable. The prices in the pub reflect the type of food which was a bit limited in range.

Book in lodge needs to be updated it states there is a walk in medical centre and when we went to find it was told by staff at the A & E at the district hospital it has been closed for few years. When arrived we were told check out was 9.30am yet the conformation I received said 10am Lodge was clean and comfortable and peaceful with lovely views.

Regularly come to waverney out of season. Quiet and relaxing . Lots of fun in the pool. Only down side is the shop is VERY limited and very overpriced!! The staff in the pub are great too. Very friendly and welcoming.

Excellent clean and warm accommodation. Staff very helpful and friendly. Restaurant could have a better atmosphere and run a tab for guests although the food is quite good. Altogether a good experience.

Information in green book in lodge needs to be updated especial!y the details of how to get medical hospital treatment as the walk in centre is closed. Therefore required to find district hospital A & E. Reported it to reception. Also letter I received for conformation stated check out time was 10am but told by reception 9.30am. Lodge was warm and comfortable with a lovely view.

Friendly and efficient book in on arrival. Lodge lovely and clean. Welcome bottle of apple juice and shortbread biscuits along with tea and coffee. A quiet site so not for anyone looking for entertainment. Pub on site and small shop which had everything we needed. Small pool. A friendly, relaxing break.

Nice lodge but been in better - Waveney Inn food was shocking all frozen veg and chips and puff pastry was short crust 4 people over £80.00 Disgraceful - took out day boat for half a day - water pump did not work so couldn't make a cup of tea or coffee and Rev Counter didn't work so we had no idea what speed we were doing and no one told us how to tie up so couldn't stop anywhere another waste if £85.00 !

Our room within the centre was very good, spacious and clean. Our only gripe was the breakfast, great if you like a full English not so if you prefer a light breakfast of fruit and cereals which were laking. Otherwise a great venue if you like all things water

Everything was great - apart from one thing: Upon arrival greeted by a lodge that was teaming with spiders and craneflies. The high ceilings made them even more difficult to remove. Would recommend Waveney River Centre apart from this, but I can't stand spiders and this somewhat spoilt the holiday - Thank you very much otherwise.

The lodge was just as it appeared in the photographs, sometimes it gives the impression of being larger than it is but they were actually spot on. All of us were pleasantly surprised at the size of the lodge in fact it was better than expected, the hot tub was large enough for all. I would recommend to any one.

Bedroom very, very nice, bar basic, hated that there was no tab, would put us off going again.

Breakfast was slow, probably because of short staffing - only two people seemed to be taking the orders and serving at the same time. However, accommodation was excellent, as was the quality of the food. The dinners on Friday and Saturday were excellent - compliments to the chef.

Excellent camp site facilities in a really lovely location. All staff were friendly, and the swimming pool was a very welcome addition to this site. The site is tucked away in a rural location alongside the river unsurprisingly) and all pitches seem to have a view of the marina. Toilet and shower facilities were clean and tidy, as were the covered washing up facilities. Pitches are well marked but could be bigger, it might feel a little squashed if in peak season.
