Love it here. Only issue I found during this stay, was on Easter Sunday the toilets were dirty and some had run out of paper! One toilet had a broken hairdryer with pieces on the floor! Would have given a very good score if the toilets had been cleaned!

Really enjoyed our stay at Waveney River Centre. The touring pitches were a good size. We all enjoyed using the swimming pool facilities, could do with a few more family changing rooms as that is ideal with small children. Playground had good equipment for all ages, would definitely recommend Waveney River Centre to family and friends.

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend in this peaceful resort. We looked out on fields with cows grazing, further along is the marina. Such a pretty place. Our children enjoyed the playground, pool and hot tub. And the lodge itself was really well equipped, clean and spacious.

Great facilities. The cleaners are the unsung hero’s as the site was spotless. Wouldn’t hesitate on coming back

The room was lovely, clean and warm with a super sized comfy bed that we wanted to bring home! The girls in the bar couldn't have done anymore to help my wife, she has severe unusual food allergies and they went out their way to ensure everything she ate was safe, congrats to the chef for delicious food, highly recommend the steaks and the pear cheesecake. Thanks for a great 4 day break. As a footnote make sure you book direct then breakfast is included, Expedia do not include breakfast.

The setting is beautiful and lovely and quiet with great views but sadly we felt that the facilities let it down. The pool was in need of a facelift and we unfortunately had a few problems in our lodge. The dishwasher broke, then the hot tub and the front door. These were all fixed quickly and the staff were great but it was an inconvenience on our holiday and annoying when it was one thing after another! We paid extra for the hot tub and it had a leak! After it was filled up again the jets didn’t work very well and it wasn’t all that warm either. Also we were annoyed when we arrived as we had been told beforehand that online shops weren’t allowed onsite so I did a click and collect which my husband drove an hour to collect when we had arrived. Whilst he was out a sainsbury delivery pulled up outside our lodge and delivered to the lodge opposite! Very annoying for us and 22 miles of petrol to Lowestoft to collect our shoping when instead we could have had it delivered and my husband start enjoying his holiday. I’m sad to say we wouldn’t recommend it as we have done with other places we have stayed. Sorry.

The accommodation (Carlton) was lovely. The only criticism is with regard to the pub. We used the pub twice (both in the evening and we had made a booking on both occasions). The first time (Tuesday) we had to wait 40 minutes for our food. The second time (Thursday) we had to queue on arrival to find out our table number. We had to queue again to place our order and then we had to wait 1 hour for our food. It was clear to us that there were not enough staff on duty nor enough chefs in the kitchen. We enjoyed both meals when we eventually received them.

This is our 3rd time at Waveney but this we stayed in the Oulton which needs a little maintenance. Fridge had no shelf for milk/drinks. Main bed, dripped on the right side. Pub menu very limited compared to before. But the site is lovely as ever.

Great little place, we found off of Google maps, the site is lovely, toilets, pool, play area, pub, were all used by us, great for water enthusiasts to bring their own - SUP, Kayak, etc Can hire a kayaks/canoes, day boats, although not masses to see on your ride down the river for half a day, mainly reeds, some birds, but had good weather so that made up for it! Bittern 3 was our pitch, at the back of it on the far side of road track there is a sharp spike that needs removing, we covered it with stones, but left too late to report it and the water tap by the toilets needs sorting, splashes water everywhere, can't get direct into a bottle, otherwise and amazing little find!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Wavney river centre in a yurt. Clean showers and toilets. Great washing up area. Children enjoyed the swimming pool and playground. We would definitely return.

Positives: Friendly staff, problems fixed quickly, everything close by, great play area for the kids Negatives: Kettle cut out electricity unless everything else was turned off, pool and shop not open longer, had to pay extra for short ferry, not much space in the pod to move around

We had a lovely stay for a couple of nights, food is great, staff are friendly, pool is lovely and warm too... Only thing I'd say is could do with more lockers for swimming which isn't major just a bit awkward when busy. Will definitely come and stay again.
