Compact campsite with lots of facilities. The pod and tent pitches are really close together so privacy and peace and quiet are limited. Really friendly staff, Showers, toilets and washing up facilities are spotless.

Had a very enjoyable stay, the only negative was pitches are very close together and loud music could be heard from the camper van next to us, when we were trying to sleep!

Just returned from a two night stay with the family in a Yurt. The facilities at the site are great and most of the staff are helpful and friendly ( my wife found one of the male bar staff very abrupt and rude while trying to book a table for dinner). We ate at the onsite pub/restaurant on both evenings and found the food to be reasonable, good sized portions for the kids meals. I would recommend staying here to anyone and will definitely be returning in the future.

Great two day trip with nephew and niece using one of the Escape Pods. Great facilities with the swimming pool and the playground which they loved and the ever handy shop. We alos hired a day boat (Pilot Type) for our second day and had a brilliant time. Obviosuly we;ll maintained and cleaned they were very impressed at being captians of their own ship for a day! Only slight critiscm is that all the boat hires end at 5pm, so when arriving back we thought we'd grab 'tea' at the Waveny Inn only to find out they don't start serving intil 6pm. That hours gap almost seems like you are missing a group of people who may well be wanting food a little earlier>

Booked a Kingfisher Super Pitch for 9 nights in August, we were 2 adults, 1 child (3 years) and 2 dogs. We arrived at 12:00 and were shown straight to our pitch (no.7). Our impression of the pitch was that it was 'rustic' and needs some TLC. There is matting under the pebble hardstanding which needs attention as it was a bit of a trip hazard as it was raised in lots of areas. The bushes around the pitch were a little overgrown which limited the space for us to sit next to our awning. Off the pitch though we really enjoyed going swimming every day and the play park was great for our granddaughter. Went to the Waveney Inn every night for an icecream for our grandaugthter and the staff really made a fuss of her. Shop of site was well stocked and reasonably priced. Hired a boat for the afternoon and went to Somerleyton and Oulton Broad, expensive but enjoyable and ultimately we knew the price before we booked. All staff we encountered were friendly and we have booked again for next year.

This was our second stay at Waveney but our first in the hotel and I really can’t fault it. The room (Captain’s Cabin) was spotlessly clean and both spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was pure luxury and the toiletries, a nice touch. As always food was good in the pub - not the cheapest but very tasty. Hope to come back again soon!

We couldn’t fault our stay at Somerleyton Lodge, Waveney River Centre. The lodge was clean, well presented, exactly the same as the pictures we saw online and we had a great week away. The hot tub in particular was amazing - huge (must have been 6 berth and there were only 2 of us!) and it had lights! The only downside is that it is a little far away from anywhere - not an issue really but we said on a couple of occasions that it would’ve been nice to have been slightly closer to some of the quaint local pubs so we could just walk home after a couple of drinks. Would definitely go again though!

After a bad start with the booking process, once we arrived the site was brilliant - small but very clean and orderly. The loos and showers were clean, the kids park was central and well kept. The pub served a lovely meal and the setting is gorgeous. Please note however that kids under 15 are not allowed in the pool without an adult IN the pool with them. This wasn't made clear to me before I arrived to drop my teenagers off to swim whilst I set up camp.

Haddiscoe is a lovely lodge with beautiful views across open fields with an array of wildlife to observe. An excellent food at the onsite pub. Great facilities. Canoes and a day boat a must. Would have appreciated either an earlier arrival time or later departure time but that is all I would alter. The fabulous arrival pack was a lovely touch and the bread was delicious. Thanks to your team their efforts are all worthwhile for a fabulous holiday experience.
