This is the 4th year my group of friends have come to the waveny River Centre and have to say how disappointed we were! The apartment was NOT clean, the floor was slippery with some sort of spray, my shower had a toenail in it and when you ran it, it was blocked up. The communal bathroom floor was cracked and tired. The kitchen blind was covered in squashed dead flies, chips out of cupboards, dirty sink, no ovengloves, when we first came 5 years ago there was 4 barstools, now only one! The whole place is tired and needs some work, especially when you are paying nearly £700 for a weekend! Finally the hottub which has been the draw for us going there,, has lost the handle so it's very heavy to open it, 2 headrests are lost, the other 2 are losing bits into the water, half the jets aren't working, and I wasnt sure how clean the water was? Such a shame, we have enjoyed some wonderful times there and was hoping to rebook again for our 5th year but would need to know all these issues will be resolved!

Really nice place to spend the weekend even in November. Pool was lovely, slightly strange that you had to come out of the pool room, pass reception to the lockers then down the hall to the changing rooms. slightly on the chilly side as the door in reception was open so make sure you take your towels with you. The on site showers are a nice idea having separate ones with everything in it for a great start to the day including a free hair dryer, they were clean and warm but some of them could do with a bit of sprucing up they were looking very worn out around the shower areas. Loved the electric boat over to the other shore before setting off for our walk on Saturday, very muddy under foot, was warned by staff, but nothing would stop us. Had a great day. Went to the Waveney Inn for dinner Saturday night, Meal was OK, slightly slow service to start with even though they weren't busy, and it would of been nice to be able to set up a tab so we could of paid for everything in one go. We had 3 starts and 3 main and to be honest the starters were better than the main courses. My husbands steak and ale pie was lacking gravy in the pie and came with a strange combination of carrots, runner beans and chips (think mash and a pot of gravy would of been better). My sons burger was on the dry side even though he had loads of BBQ sauce on it and my burger was also on the dry side, I needed loads of ketchup to get through it, and we all thought the frozen chips where under cooked. so for £60.00 including 3 drinks it was slight;y on the expensive side for what you got. Would be happy to go pack to camp but will be cooking in the motorhome instead of eating out.

A group of us stayed in the cottage on 8th November for the weekend. I would just like to say a big thank you to the maintenance guy who went above and beyond to help fix our issues we had, and bringing a bottle of prosecco to our accommodation and also letting us check our a little later as we had issues with the hot tub. We appreciate him trying to make amends, we will certainly be returning.

Wow. Helped by some great weather, 10 of us enjoyed a wonderful 3 nights by the water. From a welcoming reception, everything was excellent. Normally a place sleeping 10 is lacking in some areas, but not here - we never felt under each other’s feet. It was also very warm when needed! The hot tub was an added bonus! The views were magnificent, it was quiet (being in November probably helped), and we just wished we had brought fishing tackle as there were a LOT of fish surfacing at dawn. As we had planned meals etc. in advance we didn’t get to visit the restaurant / pub, but it all seemed very nice. The greenness of everything (recycling etc.) was also very appreciated. The only negative was having to leave, and by 0930! And we WILL return!

A brilliant place for a relaxed weekend getaway. The lodge was clean and had everything you needed. Hot tub was a fantastic addition. Beautiful scenery and friendly staff. Food at the Waveney Inn was superb.

This place surpassed our expectations, and made for a lovely weekend getaway. The yurts were clean and very comfortable to stop in, with little extras making life better. The coat stand made a big difference, and even more having the electric heater keeping us warm and toastie. The toilet/shower units were immaculate, and lovely hot water too. We also used the swimming pool, which was clean and tidy too. We spoke to a few members of staff who were all really pleasant, in particular the cleaning lady who was extremely helpful and polite.

The lodge was excellent. Well-laid out, clean and generally excellent facilities. The hot tub was great to have. The staff were friendly and helpful. So, close to 5* but there were some little things which were annoying and could be easily addressed. A light over the front door. A light by the hot tub. Some hooks or similar by the hot tub preferably covered as you could not take a towel out to the tub when it was raining. It was also very difficult to pull the cover back over the tub as there was no easy way to get down the sides. Finally you provide an excellent cooker and hob but only two small saucepans and a fairly grotty frying pan - totally inadequate to cook a meal for 8 people.

Loved it at the Waveney River Centre. Early winter and stayed in the snug Waterside Lodge over looking the marshes. Amazing views on frosty misty morning's watching birds and wild life. Or basking in the hot tub on a frosty evening. What's not to love?! The Waveney Inn served delicious meals and was a welcome haunt on wet evenings. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Overall first class.
