“Lodge we were allocated was at the end of the site stuck with building work,also next to the sewage plant, not very nice, and it wasnt even the lodge we booked !!!!”

Thanks for your review. We're sorry you were disappointed. In fact, this is the lodge you booked, we have more than one of the same type and Hoseasons group them together into 'classes'. If you want a specific lodge, please book direct with ourselves. There was no building work whatsoever, but we do plead guilty to carrying 2 bags of bark past your lodge as photographed, for spreading on the borders to prevent weeds.

“Very helpful staff good clean site and facilities Good pub food and ales My only comment is that you are unable to have caravan awning and car on the pitch as not wide enough But would definitley go back A very pleasant spot”

“Lovely lodge, everything you could possibly want a home from home in a peaceful setting with lovely views. Hot tub was great but a little over looked, this can do with more screening. Onsite pub great for a meal. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definately go back again.”

“A beautiful setting, clean modern toilet and shower blocks. Kids loved the park and swimming pool was clean and lovely warm. Found the staff to be pleasant and helpful throughout. Well stocked shop and we hired a day boat too which was fab. Overlooking the harbour and next to open fields-great for walkers and watching the sun go down - a simply wonderful setting and we will hope to return soon. Many thanks.”

“Really good site with access to walks and pool. Would like the shop and pub to open earlier so that breakfast could be sourced. Generally when camping children are up and around early. Access to a fridge of sorts would be a suggested improvement. A warning about late charges if delayed on boat hire would have been appreciated.”

“Rooms excellent. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Food okay but a bit pub grub and deep fried. Perhaps a review of menu to bring it more up to date. Waiting staff at breakfast a bit slap dash. Staff served breakfast whilst wearing outside coat. Breakfast served on cold plates and was barely warm when it arrived. Staff maybe need supervision! Overall we enjoyed our weekend.”

“We were very happy with the site and facilities, good outlook, and kept clean, friendly staff. However the approach/access road was in very poor condition with a number of pot holes, could be improved. Very disappointed with a meal at the Waveney Arms, food was cold, undercooked and greasy, both myself and my partner felt ill afterwards. We would however return to the site for another visit, just not to the Waveney Arms.”

“The lodge was lovely- had everything we needed for a great family week away. We arrived at 8pm after the office had closed and the high chair and side for the bed for our toddler which we had ordered were missing, but one quick call to the pub and they arrived quicker than we could unpack the car! The pub food was lovely and the hot tub was perfect! We'd definitely recommend this place and will hopefully come back!”

“The Centre is in a wonderful location, it was very peaceful and tranquil, you really feel at one with nature. The site has all of the facilities that you could need and is very clean, well managed and family friendly with the large park area and swimming pool and you are able to hire boats to explore the River and Broads. We cycled around the many small lanes, took the foot ferry to walk into Beccles and rowed a Canoe trip to Oulton Broad. We had a fantastic break and are looking forward to returning again soon.”
